Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2401

Two days passed in the blink of an eye and here came Zachary and Serenity’s wedding day.

The doors of Wildridge Manor were wide open to welcome guests from all cities.

The guests would travel to the manor right after landing in Wiltspoon and would stay at Wiltspoon Hotel as arranged by the Yorks.

The hotel’s operation would only resume the day after the wedding.

Serenity was awakened by Liberty before sunrise.

The makeup artist Zachary hired had already arrived and was waiting for Serenity to wake up. The plan was to put on some light makeup on Serenity, suitable for pregnant ladies.

Serenity was sleepy. She did not sleep well as she was too excited and chatted with her friends for a long time before bed.

After being awakened by Liberty, Serenity tubbed her eyes and looked outside. She closed her eyes again when she saw the barely lit sky and murmured, “Let me sleep a little longer, Liberty. It’s only a simple makeup that won’t take long. Let the makeup artist eat something first.”

Liberty took her blanket away and said, “You have to depart early as well. If you don’t get up to get ready now, you won’t make it in time when Zachary arrives. He might get anxious waiting.”

“What’s there to be anxious about? We’re already husband and wife.”

Serenity got up despite her mutters but fell back to the bed right after and tried to tug on the blanket.

“Let me sleep an extra half an hour, Liberty.”

Serenity got up again with her eyes closed. She got out of bed to head to the bathroom but could not find her slippers. Only then did she open her eyes to look for them.

“Where are my slippers?”

“I might’ve kicked them under the bed. Let me find them for you.”

Liberty bent over to search beneath the bed. She found and quickly retrieved them.

“Walk with your eyes open. You might run into something if you close your eyes. Be especially careful with your belly too. There’ll be many people and children during the reception. Don’t let them touch your stomach.”

Liberty kept nagging at Serenity.
