“You saved my life, Ms. Crawford. Treating you to a meal isn’t enough. I should return the favor with much more,” Julian said.
Quinn changed the topic, saying, “How are the robbers doing now? How many years of jail time will they get?”
“They’re all in prison now. I’m not sure how long their sentence will be, but it’ll be several years at least for robbery.”
Julian did not even bat an eye as he lied.
His subordinates were indeed somewhere. They were not in prison though, they were receiving treatment at the hospital.
They were either beaten up by Quinn or injured from a fall.
Simply speaking, Quinn had defeated all of his subordinates. They were in awe of their future missus.
Quinn said, “You were unlucky. I heard Wiltspoon is a safe place. There haven’t been motorcycle gangs in many years, but you just happened to meet one of them.”
Julian laughed. “I think they’re the ones who got unlucky. They ran into you, the chivalrous Ms. Crawford, as soon as they appeared. You saved me and defeated all of them. I think they didn’t expect to lose because they had the numbers.
“The police managed to apprehend all of them. They deserved it. They were all able-bodied and could’ve done anything besides being robbers.
“Ms. Crawford, I’ll provide the cars for your trip with the kids and accompany you around. You don’t have to worry about getting scammed by having a local like me with you.”
It was a chance for Julian to spend time with Quinn and perform well. He would not miss the opportunity.
“Have you heard of Wildridge Manor, Ms. Crawford?”
She was tempted though.
After all, Quinn was only twenty-four years old, still young, and like Jasmine, her hobby was reading novels. Zachary resembled the CEOs she would come across in fiction. She simply enjoyed listening to gossip and had no intention of getting to know him.
“We won’t be disturbing them. We’ll only be visiting the manor’s garden, and there’s a playground too. Your students will definitely have fun there. Most importantly, it’s free. It’s more convenient than taking them to theme parks.
“You may be able to afford the tickets for theme parks, but you’ll be stuck in one queue after another. You won’t be able to enjoy yourselves to the fullest.”
Quinn thought about it. She asked, “Are you sure we won’t be bothering the York family with our presence at Wildridge Manor?”
“Yes. I can inform Zachary if you're interested, and he’ll call his butler. When we head over, the butler will receive us. None of the Yorks will be disturbed.
