Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 1983

Kevin returned to his car. The head of security waved his hand, and the gate was opened.

With that, Kevin drove his Maybach into Queen Enterprise with swag.

A few minutes later, the tall and handsome Kevin swaggered into the company building with several bags in one hand and a large bouquet of flowers in the other.

“Mr. Kevin.”

“Mr. Kevin.”

As he walked, everyone who saw him greeted him with respect.

Kevin had a good temper. He responded to everyone who greeted him, giving the people of Queen Enterprise the impression that he was easy-going. He did not have the airs of the third son of the Yorks.

In fact, out of the nine sons of the Yorks, apart from Zachary who had a flashier status, the rest were quite approachable.

Even for Zachary, he was not pretentious but only had bodyguards with him to prevent admirers from getting close to him.

This was not Kevin’s first time at Queen Enterprise. He went up to the top floor with ease.

“Mr. Kevin.”

Hayden’s secretary was already waiting for him by the elevator door. He greeted him respectfully when he saw him come out.

Kevin smiled back at the secretary and asked him, “Is Mr. Hayden in his office?”

The secretary selectively ignored the large bouquet of flowers that Kevin was holding. He answered, “Mr. Hayden is still in a meeting. Mr. Kevin, please wait in the VIP room for a while. He’ll see you when he finishes his meeting.”

“He’s always in a meeting every time I come over. He’s so busy. Where’s Hugh?”

If Hayden were to inherit Queen Enterprise in the future, it would be valuable for her to be so busy at the moment. However, if the Queens’ assets were to be left to Hugh, Kevin felt that his fiancée would be tiring herself out only to benefit his brother-in-law.

“Mr. Hugh is out talking business. He didn’t attend this meeting.”

Kevin could not say anything else.

Hayden was speechless.

Kevin even brought her breakfast.

The meeting room was filled with the senior management of the company. Everyone looked at Hayden when her secretary handed him breakfast. There was an unusual pin-drop silence in the room.

Hayden took the breakfast but did not eat it. She got up and walked to the trash can to throw it away.

Despite doing that, nobody present thought she did anything wrong.

In their opinion, their CEO was a man—a straight man. However, Kevin started pursuing him passionately. If he always accepted flowers and gifts from Kevin and ate breakfast Kevin brought, he would be giving Kevin hope.

It would be harder for him to get rid of Kevin.

In fact, many old managers were displeased with Kevin pursuing Hayden. They had cursed him numerous times behind his back.

That was because many of their daughters liked Hayden.
