Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 1931

Julian put down his glass and left right after telling Audrey he was leaving.

He patted Remy’s shoulder as he passed by him.

Immediately, Remy told Audrey, “Mrs. Stone, I’ll see Julian out.”

He wanted to find out what Julian was up to.

Audrey did not say anything and agreed silently.

Remy turned around and followed Julian out of the house after he handed the suitcase to Elisa.

Once outside, he questioned Julian, “Julian, I know you’re not really going after Elisa. Can you tell me why you’re doing this?”

Julian stopped, turned his head to look at him, and laughed. “I can’t tell you right now, but Remy, if you don’t step up and take Elisa soon, someone might steal her away from you.

“If you can get engaged to her, you won’t have to worry.”

Remy said with a bitter smile, “Do you think I don’t want to? Mrs. Stone is very stubborn. She still doesn’t approve of me and Elisa. We’re both working hard, but no matter what, I won’t give up on Elisa.

“Julian, whatever your reasons are for doing this, you’re putting a lot of pressure on me.”

Why was it so hard to win himself a wife?

He had to go through a lot of setbacks before he could marry Elisa.

He envied Josh and Jasmine, who had a smooth sailing journey to their marriage.

There were literally no obstacles. Both families knew they liked each other, and everyone approved.

“Remy, you should hurry up and get engaged to Ms. Stone. Once your relationship is clear, you can relax.”

Julian quickly left after he finished speaking.

He was afraid that his own father would find out that he was pursuing Elisa and then eagerly rush to the Stone family to propose the marriage. That would be a big problem.

He did not dare use his own people to keep this a secret, even though he was the young master of the Bucham family. As long as his father intervened, he would be useless. His elite subordinates’ loyalty would still lean toward his father.

If Julian used his own people, he would probably be sold out as soon as he left.

He was asking Andrew to help him keep his itinerary for today a secret.

The Reading family was very low-key, and he had little contact with Andrew. His help would not attract attention.
