“Are you trying to make me die from laughter so you can inherit my assets, Zachary? It’s not your first day being Grandma May’s grandson. You should know her personality by now and be mentally prepared. You should be thankful that she didn’t kidnap your wife after you just got married. Otherwise, you would’ve been in a worse state.”

It was a terrible feeling to be separated right after tasting the feeling of love.

Zachary said, “I feel awful now too. I’m used to seeing my wife the first thing after opening my eyes. She always waits for me at home at night. Whenever she’s home, I’ll always be eager to return home because I don’t want her to wait up for me.

“Now that she left me to have fun, decided not to let me follow her, and even changed her phone, I’m not used to it at all. Josh, come out to drink with me. It’s my treat.”

He had tried having people find out where did Grandma May go.

Since Grandma May was the one who brought Serenity out, she would not let him know where they were going unless Serenity contacted him first.

Zachary did not understand how he offended Grandma May and that she had to prank him like that.

Jasmine smiled. “You’re right. Seren said she had never met a man who liked complaining to his wife’s family that much. Whenever Seren bullied him, he would run to Liberty and tattle to her aggrievedly. Serenity said that when she and Zachary has a conflict, she has to confiscate his phone and place a chair at the door. She would sit there and watch the door so that Zachary doesn’t head out and complain to her family.”

Josh’s stomach hurt from laughing too hard.

As he laughed, he defended his friend. “Don’t blame Zachary. Grandma May had taught him everything except how to love someone. After marrying Serenity within such a short period, it’s normal for him to have some shortcomings as he learns how to love someone. He just loves Serenity too much.

“He’s used to being bossy and being the center of everything. It’s the same for love too. He hopes that the woman he loves will be fully focused on him. Once she’s not in his sight, he’ll look for her everywhere.”
