“Not only did Mrs. Stone ask me for help several times, but Clive also used a carrot-and-stick approach. The two of them seemed to have decided to take advantage of me. Do I look like I can be easily taken advantage of?”

Andrew was bewildered. The Stones were stubborn, but were they not worried that Elisa would choose not to get married if they separated Elisa from Remy?

Elisa was not the sort who would allow her parents to meddle in her marriage.

Zachary said helplessly, “I didn’t manage to persuade Aunt Audrey. Even your sister-in-law has persuaded her countless times but to no avail. What’s your decision? Have you agreed to help Aunt Audrey?”

Andrew responded, “I haven’t. This is troubling me, so I came to vent my problems to you. I’m worried that… I can’t help but fall in love with Elisa.”

Elisa was very persistent in relationships. This could be seen from her infatuation with Zachary in the past.

Now, she was in love with Remy, but her family members disapproved of it. Even so, she persisted with dating Remy, hoping her family would approve of them over time.

Andrew was not worried that Elisa would fall in love with him. Instead, it was the other way round, which would cause him to get hurt.

Old Mr. Ormond from Annenburg once used this tactic to deal with Yves, which caused Yves to have feelings for Iris. It would not really damage the relationship between Yves and Iris because the other party was a gay man who was only interested in men.

Glum, Andrew said, “I don’t have any friends who are gay. I don’t know any gay men either. How do I recommend one to Mrs. Stone? What’s more, Mrs. Stone wants to matchmake Elisa with me and not merely to separate Elisa from Remy.”

With that, he asked Zachary, “Zack, do you know any gay men?”

Zachary quickly replied, “No. I’m a normal man, and I’m only interested in your sister-in-law. I have no interest in any other man or woman. If this doesn’t work, you can ask for Julian’s help. Given that something is wrong with Julian, he won’t fall in love with Elisa. You can make him put up an act, but you might have to pay him quite a bit considering who he is.”
