In the meantime, Penny, who was dressed in a complete set of office wear, paced back and forth in front of Cross Group's headquarters.
Benson, Jenny, and those from the board of directors were anxious as well.
Nathan was the only calm and collected one. In fact, he tried to reassure everyone with a smile on his face.
Penny couldn't help but roll her eyes and scold him petulantly, "How are we supposed to calm down after what we have gone through to seal a deal with our sole supplier? I can't believe the first batch of our equipment was taken away just like that!"
"Nathan, perhaps we should stop wasting our time. To begin with, Terrence and his men have always been known as a brutal bunch. Since they have sent their men to come after our goods, they won't possibly return them to us, right? Should we get in touch with the cops instead?"
Before Nathan could explain himself,
Benson and a few directors let out a sigh. "Mr. Turner is the one behind Terrence. He's known as the King of the South. No one can defy his words in the South. Perhaps the mayor can't do anything about it either, let alone the cops."
When Penny and the higher-ups were about to give up, the head of the security guards rushed into the conference room and reported, "President Smith, there is a bunch of delinquents downstairs."
Upon hearing that, Penny panicked once again. "Is Terrence trying to wreak havoc in our office again? But he has already snatched our equipment away from us!"
However, Logan shook his head and rebutted, "That's not the case. Even though they are a bunch of delinquents with fierce looks, they are extremely well-behaved. I hope I wasn't hearing things because they said they were here to return us our company's equipment and seek forgiveness."
Huh?
Everyone's eyes widened in bewilderment.
Unanimously, they turned around and shifted their gazes to Nathan.
Naturally, they were shocked as the turn of events coincided with Nathan's statement previously where he said he would get them to return the company's goods and seek forgiveness within an hour.
To everyone's surprise, the bunch of delinquents actually came to return the equipment.
No one could figure out how on earth did Nathan manage to achieve such a seemingly impossible feat.
Nathan saw the expression on everyone's faces and suggested, "Why is everyone looking at me? Since they have returned us the equipment, let's hurry up and check if there're any damages to the equipment."
Without hesitation, Penny nodded and beckoned everyone to follow her, "He's right! Let's go!"
After that, she made her way to the company's entrance with Nathan, Benson, and the directors.
Upon reaching the entrance of the headquarters, they were greeted by dozens of fully-loaded trucks and a fleet of cars.
In fact, Cyclops had turned to look at Nathan and rushed over with his men immediately.
Penny's face turned pale when she realized the delinquents were making their way over to them. Logan, the head of the security team, got anxious all of a sudden as well. "Don't you try to do anything reckless!"
However, they were surprised by what happened next.
As Cyclops and his subordinates neared Nathan, they got on their knees with a thud.
Initially, Penny stood before Nathan and tried to shield him because she thought Cyclops and his men were about to beat him into a pulp. Obviously, they didn't expect the hoodlums to get on their knees in front of Nathan unanimously.
Hence, Penny's eyes widened as her jaw dropped in surprise.
It was the same for Benson, Jenny, and the
others from Cross Group. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.
What the heck is going on?
