Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3044

Vince raised his right hand and clenched it in midair in Ava's direction.

In an instant, a large red hand materialized out of thin air in front of Ava.

The hand seemed solid as it reached for Ava, attempting to grab her. It looked as if it was trying to choke Ava to her death.

Despite having numerous experiences in combat, Ava had never seen such a scene before. She stood rooted to the spot, not knowing what to do.

When she snapped out of her daze, planning to dodge the hand's assault, it was already too late.

The large red hand was about to wrap its fingers around her when Nathan moved.

“Your opponent is me. You won't gain any praise for your skills for bullying the young.”

Swoosh!

Nathan waved his hand and created a gust of wind that began to rotate and form a tiny tornado. The tornado spun toward the hand, and they collided violently.

Boom!

A deafening sound echoed across the sky.

Standing closest to the collision, Ava suffered the brunt of it. She was pushed a few steps back before she finally steadied herself.

Nathan, Colin, Vince, the vampires, and the others were fine, but the same couldn't be said for the members of the Woods family.

They were forced backward, and some even fell to the ground.

The Woodses wore stunned expressions on their faces. They finally realized how terrifying the fight between Nathan and the mysterious vampires was.

They were already standing tens of meters away, yet that wasn't safe enough.

Immediately, they retreated further until they were a hundred meters away from the fight scene to avoid getting hurt by any stray blasts from the fight.

Anger poured through Vince when he saw Nathan save Ava.

“I didn't expect you to be able to unleash such a powerful attack despite your severe injuries. However, I wonder how many moves of mine you can withstand with your current condition.”

Nathan answered impassively, “Ten moves.”

Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight looked stern when they felt Vince's aura.

They were well aware Nathan hadn't recovered from his injuries. Worried that something could happen to him, they wanted to stop Vince.

At that moment, Nathan said calmly, “This man is very strong. He's the most powerful vampire among the ones I've met. You are not his opponent, so stand down. I'll fight with him.”

Colin and the others were taken aback.

Colin cautioned, “Mr. Cross, your injuries from your battle with Lothar still haven't—”

“Lothar's ability is the pinnacle of power a human can achieve. These supernatural beings in front of us can't be compared to Lothar. Don't worry.”

Colin and the rest were still worried. However, they knew Nathan was right. They were no match for Vince, so all they could do was stand down with shame.

Ava handed her mithril dagger to Nathan. “Mr. Cross, use this in your fight.”

Nathan gazed at the dagger with a look of interest before he reached for it with a smile. “All right. Since we need the right tool for the right job, like how we use sticks to beat the dogs, I'll try wielding this weapon that's the bane of vampires' existence.”
