After Max gradually opened his eyes, he began to scan his surroundings in a daze.
Boom!
The moment he realized he was in a strange hall and surrounded by a group of pale-looking vampires, he suddenly exploded off the ground.
His reaction unleashed a powerful red and black shockwave into his surroundings.
Other than Vince, who easily withstood the impact, all the other vampires were pushed backward by the pressure from the shockwave.
The weaker ones who stood at the periphery were sent flying amidst their agonized screams.
Some were even killed on the spot.
Consequently, Max was stunned.
What's going on?
No sooner had the thought crossed his mind than Vince began clapping with a smile.
“Haha, just as expected of Ariarica's God of War! Being an elite among humans and the perfect super-soldier, the foundation you have is undeniably solid. After being resurrected with the drop of ancestral blood I have given you, your power is in no way inferior to mine. In fact, despite having lived for centuries, I can't help but be envious of you.”
I have become a vampire!
A look of shock descended upon Max's face as he stood in front of a mirror, looking at his own reflection.
Overall, he didn't look much different than before, other than his complexion turning slightly pale. Nevertheless, he noticed that his face looked younger and more handsome.
In addition, he could feel boundless energy coursing through his veins, as if a gentle leap would launch him straight into the air while a punch could create a sonic boom.
Staring at the glass of fresh blood Vince was offering him, Max could barely hold back the thirst within him.
Nonetheless, he was an extraordinarily determined person who would never succumb to his body's desires.
After taking the glass in his hand, he threw it on the ground, shattering it into pieces.
With that, he sneered, “Forget it. I have no interest in working with you and will kill Nathan myself. You had also better not show your face in front of me again or think of wrecking my life and career. Or else, I will wipe all of you out.”
Max had hardly finished when he stormed toward the exit.
As for the powerful vampires present, all of them turned to look at Vince after watching Max's insolent response.
It was obvious from the look in their eyes that they were awaiting his orders as to whether they should hold Max back.
