Misael Leach, the laborer, could not help but ask, “I say, Kerry, are you really related to the God of War? You aren't joking with us, are you?”
Frustrated, Kerry said, “Tsk. What makes you think that? We're cousins, okay? We even gather for New Year's every year.”
Misael said, “All right, then. Why don't you tell us something about the God of War? We're all rather curious about him.”
Misael and the other men were Eurasians who had been living in Eurasian Street for over a decade.
They rarely followed the news in Eurasia. Thus, they knew very little about what was going on in the country.
Most of the stories they had heard were legends related to the God of War. These tales always made their hearts boil with excitement and gave them a sense of pride for their country.
Interestingly enough, they only knew Nathan was the God of War. They did not know he had been recently promoted to become Eurasia's president.
Seeing how her friends were pestering her to tell stories about the God of War, Kerry looked around mischievously and simply uttered, “Fine, I'll tell you. First, let's talk about Nathan's looks. He's really eight feet tall and has a majestic appearance.”
Upon hearing that, Nathan could not help but chuckle. “Eight feet tall with a majestic appearance? Are you talking about some historical character?”
Kerry reprimanded with displeasure, “Excuse me, what's your problem? Not only did you peep at me lecherously just now, but you're also interrupting me. You're really annoying, you know that?”
Nathan groaned in annoyance.
Disregarding him, Kerry continued boasting, “My cousin is not only well built, but he's also handsome. Ever since he joined the military, he's been making great contributions. In the end, he was noticed by President Windsor. Just like that, Nathan slowly rose from his rank as a simple soldier to Eurasia's God of War. Even the Marquis of Champions isn't as impressive as him.”
The men at her table nodded vehemently.
However, Misael said, “Okay. We've heard all that before. Do you have something new?”
Something new?
Kerry's eyes glinted slyly, and she smiled. “Of course I do. Tell you what, don't be tricked by his status as the God of War. He might look like a cool hero now, but he was actually quite mischievous when he was younger.”
Her words piqued the men's interest.
Meanwhile, Colin and Kraven glanced at Nathan curiously.
Nathan put on a half-smile and snorted inwardly. Well, well, well. Let's hear what kind of lies you're going to come up with this time.
To his surprise, Kerry said in a serious manner, “Honestly, my cousin was actually a delinquent when he was younger. Since his family was rich and powerful, he would often parade around and act tyrannically. Rumor has it that he's bullied many young ladies back then.”
Everyone's jaws dropped in shock.
The moment she saw the picture on her phone, her eyes widened in surprise.
It was a picture of the God of War wearing charming-looking traditional clothing. However, his well-built figure and handsome face—those dashing eyebrows, stern gaze, perfectly straight nose, and tightly pursed lips—were exactly the same as the man in front of her.
There was no one in the world who could be so similar in terms of looks and demeanor.
Kerry trembled as though she had been electrocuted. Feeling shocked, she lifted her gaze and stared at Nathan, meeting his eyes that glinted with amusement.
Oh my goodness. The person in front of me is actually the God of War himself!
When she recalled how she had slandered the teenage Nathan, her legs gave way, and she fell to her knees before Nathan.
Nathan asked with a smile, “What's wrong with you?”
Appearing as though she was on the verge of crying, she replied, “I'm having cramps in my calf.”
“Do you need me to help you up?” he went on while smirking.
Kerry quickly shook her head. “No, no, no. I just want to be on my knees for a while. I need some time alone.”
