Mueller, Nathan, and the rest remained in the reception room.

The atmosphere had inexplicably turned awkward.

In the end, Nathan flashed a smile and broke the silence. His voice was calm as he asked, “Mueller, did you run into trouble?”

Mueller had no choice but to reply, “Mr. Cross, it's bad news. I'm afraid I can't help you find your master anymore.”

Nathan's brows knitted together, but he quickly relaxed and asked nonchalantly, “Did you run into trouble? Or perhaps someone told you to stay out of the matter?”

Mueller didn't respond. He seemed both embarrassed and conflicted.

Nathan promptly understood what had happened. He got to his feet and stretched his hand out. “No matter what, thank you for your help. You didn't succeed in finding my master, but I know you've tried your best. Thank you.”

After a brief hesitation, Mueller took Nathan's hand. His expression was complicated as he said, “Thank you for understanding my situation.”

Nathan nodded. “As I can't find my master here, there's no point for me to stay any longer. I will most probably take my private plane out of Ariarica this afternoon. Thank you for your hospitability, Mueller. If you come to Eurasia, please let me know in advance so I can give you a warm welcome.”

Mueller nodded profusely. “Sure!”

After that, Nathan and Penny left his residence with Colin, Kraven, and the other subordinates.

Outside, Nathan and Penny got into their car. Kraven also climbed into the passenger seat of the same car.

Nathan shook his head. “I can't wait that long. It seems that Master's disappearance is related to some sort of national secret. They know I'm searching for him and might harm him. I need to find out what happened as soon as possible. Besides, if we send our spies into Ariarica, there is a possibility they won't discover anything. I also think it's dangerous, so it's better for me to take action personally.”

As Nathan had made up his mind, Penny knew it was impossible to persuade him otherwise. Gently, she reminded him, “Please be extra careful.”

Nathan assured her, “I will.”

He turned to Colin and Kraven. “The two of you shall come back to Ariarica with me in secret. Ava and the Elite Eight will escort Penny back to Eurasia.”

Colin and Kraven replied in unison, “Understood!”
