Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2869

Ronnie wore an icy grin as he strode toward Colin. It seems like it'd be impossible to teach Nathan a lesson and avenge Rock now. However, it won't hurt to vent my anger on this fool. I can beat him up and humiliate Nathan in front of everyone at the same time. This sounds like a good alternative.

With that thought in mind, he growled and increased his speed to charge at Colin.

He threw a simple but powerful punch in Colin's face.

Colin didn't move an inch, and his hands were still behind his back.

Thud!

Ronnie's fist landed on Colin's face.

Despite his initial joy, he soon realized something was horribly wrong.

He might've punched Colin's face, but it felt like he had hit an iron plate instead.

Colin remained standing, and Ronnie's fist hurt badly from the impact.

He widened his eyes and stared at Colin incredulously.

Colin's cheek turned pink after getting punched, but he didn't seem hurt.

Ronnie couldn't believe his eyes. After all, he was a cyborg. More than sixty percent of his bones had been replaced with alloys.

His nerves had been tampered with as well, so he could only feel thirty percent of the pain the average human could feel.

To put it simply, he was as strong as a robot, and he could barely feel any pain.

In usual circumstances, his punch could kill a bull weighing at least thousands of pounds with no problems.

Thus, he was surprised to see Colin safe and sound after getting punched in the face.

Ronnie was shocked and livid. “You!”

Colin snorted. “Hmm? Is this the extent of the so-called Ariarican elites? Who are you to fight against our God of War?”

Feeling humiliated, Ronnie went all out and let out a loud roar. He swung his fist toward Colin yet again.

This time, Colin didn't underestimate his opponent. He lowered his head to dodge Ronnie's attack and slammed his shoulder against Ronnie.

Bang!

It felt like a train had crashed into Ronnie. He spewed out blood and was sent flying. His body twisted in an abnormal manner as he fell to the ground.

The audience gasped collectively at the sight of his plight.

At the same time, Peder and Monte launched their attacks.

Colin returned to his original spot behind Nathan and stared ahead.

Bryon wore an ugly scowl on his face.

He initially wanted to embarrass Nathan in public, but the latter ended up stealing the limelight back at the racing track and even here in the arena. On the contrary, he was humiliated badly.

In the end, Mueller had to stand up to defuse the situation.

Plastering a smile on his lips, he uttered, “Oh, General Dunne, that was marvelous! Everyone got to see how capable the soldiers from Eurasia can be.”

He then turned to Ronnie and his friends and demanded icily, “Do you know how strong they are now? That's the difference between professionals and amateurs. General Dunne is Mr. Cross' right-hand man and also the Deputy Commander of the Capital Garrison in Brimmopolis. He's been to war many times, so commoners like you are no match for him. Our Five-star General, Max, should be the one issuing a challenge against him. It isn't your place to issue a challenge! This is ridiculous. Stop embarrassing yourselves and leave now.”

One had to admit that Mueller had just made a tactful speech.

He acknowledged Colin's ability and lavished praises on the man.

However, he also used the chance to state that it was a match between professionals and amateurs when reprimanding Ronnie and the others.

In other words, he was implying that Ronnie and his friends' defeat wasn't humiliating, for only Ariarican generals like Max were fitting to be Colin's match.

The audience was initially disappointed to see the three men getting defeated easily by Colin.

However, their moods lifted after they heard Mueller's speech.
