Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2867

Many people were boiling with anger after learning that Nathan had killed Rock with his kick.

“D*mn it! How could he kill Rock?”

“Yes, that's so despicable of him!”

“He must pay with his life as he killed Rock. No matter who he is, he must give us an explanation!”

“Kill him! Let's avenge Rock!”

Nathan soon became the target of the audience as they demanded he be punished.

Some of the audience members even left their seats and jumped into the ring deftly.

These were Rock's good friends—Steelman Ronnie, Bioman Peder, and Playboy Monte.

Ronnie used to be a middle-aged man suffering from an incurable disease. However, he then participated in the research of robotics in Ariarica and allowed the company to insert steel and chips into his body to make him a cyborg.

Peder was a super-soldier from Ariarica created by a military-invested biotech company. He was as powerful as a super-soldier from the Ariarica government.

Playboy Monte was an abnormal being born with superpowers.

They were Rock's best friends and had come here to support Rock.

Never in their wildest dreams did they expect to see Rock dying under Nathan's kick.

Furious, they leaped into the ring recklessly to teach Nathan a lesson so they could take avenge Rock's death.

Right then, Colin and a few of the Elite Eight joined Nathan in the ring to protect him.

In the seating area, Bryon finally regained his senses. He belatedly realized that the situation had gotten out of his control.

Without hesitation, he stood up and ordered sternly, “Where are the security guards? Protect Mr. Cross now!”

A team of bodyguards clad in black suits instantly swarmed into the arena to protect Nathan.

Ronnie, Peder, and Monte scowled when they realized they couldn't get close to Nathan as the latter was surrounded by many people.

Towering above them, Byron demanded icily, “What are you doing? Don't you know Mr. Cross is a distinguished guest in our country? How dare you disrespect him?”

Ronnie had no choice but to reply, “President Byron, he has to pay the price for killing Rock.”

Peder chimed in, “That's right. Even if he's the President of Eurasia, he has committed a crime. No one is above the law! In Eurasia, even the king of a nation is subject to the same laws as a commoner!”

Monte raised his hands and declared, “Nathan Cross owes us an explanation!”

The audience shared their sentiments. At once, everyone got to their feet and yelled in unison, “Explain! Explain! Explain...”

Bryon's expression turned dark.

“So Oreste is just a student. No wonder Rock was able to beat him up easily from the start of the match!”

The audience began to whisper among themselves.

Initially, they assumed it was a fair match between a competent Ariarican fighter and a strong Eurasian fighter and that the former had gained victory using his skills.

Never did they expect that the organizer had attempted to rig the match.

The audience wore grim expressions.

Ronnie, Peder, and Monte frowned.

Being elites, they knew from watching the match that Oreste was an untrained rookie.

It was obvious that Nathan was telling the truth.

Nathan added icily, “I wasn't about to comment on the match-fixing as there was no point doing so. Rock had already beaten a Eurasian student badly, and the referee announced him as the winner. Nonetheless, he refused to give up and wanted to kill the student. I advised him to stop, but he refused to heed my advice. Is it wrong for me to kill him for what he did?”

The crowd took one look at Oreste, who suffered from broken limbs and ribs. He was covered in blood and barely alive. They fell silent.

Indeed, Rock had beaten Oreste to a pulp, and the referee had announced that the match was over.

Rock had crossed the line by wanting to kill Oreste.
