Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2836

The one who started the drama, Dudley, came around before anyone else did. He was sweating bullets, and fear was written all over his face when he dashed forward and knelt in front of Nathan.

In a trembling voice, he said, “Mr. Cross, that was an honest mistake and an accident. I didn't mean to hurt you, but I will bear all the consequences and accept any punishment you deem fit. Please do what you think is for the best.”

Nathan was the president of Eurasia, and Dudley knew that he was that close to making an unforgivable mistake. Hence, he was kneeling on the ground and was drowning in fear at the time.

Huey hurried to them as well. He apologized, “I'm sorry, Mr. Cross. I bear some responsibility for what happened as well, and I apologize for it. You may punish me as you see fit.”

Everyone on site had their eyes on Nathan and was on edge.

Nathan looked at Huey, then at Dudley, before shifting his gaze to the rest of the crowd. He chuckled and pointed out, “Oh, c’mon. Mr.

Gutierrez, Dudley, get up. Geez.

“First off, I am just a guest and have no right to punish you.

“Secondly, this is Peacekeeping Forces' headquarters and the training site for soldiers.

“This is not a recreational place, so accidents are inevitable.

“I am a general who used to lead the army, so naturally, I know all about this and won’t put the blame on anyone.

“No one can guarantee that a place where a hundred thousand soldiers receive their training is safe. In fact, the chances of a fatal accident happening are extremely high.

“Also, everything was clear as day. Dudley obviously didn't do anything on purpose. That was, without a doubt, an accident, so no one is at fault. Please don't feel guilty.”

Dudley's eyes widened in surprise after he heard those words.

He stared in astonishment because he had always thought that Eurasians were unreasonable and barbaric. The media in Ariarica had always portrayed Eurasians as a potential threat, after all.

Nathan could tell what they were thinking, so he grinned and said, “Don't worry. It's just for the day, and the probability of anything bad happening is low. Besides, the Elite Eight will take over your task in the meantime.” Colin and Ava had no choice after hearing what Nathan said. They had to follow his instruction.

Colin continued with his lesson after Nathan and Penny had left.

He was a direct and upstanding guy with incredible skills and a great sense of humor, so he soon became friends with the other warriors.

Ava was different. She was not interested in lecturing the foreign warriors, but she was more than happy to give Lucio and the other Eurasian warriors some pointers.

She had always thought that Lucio had a lot of room for improvement, despite his strength. She also thought that since Lucio and his team represented Eurasia, it was imperative that they do well. It'd be embarrassing for Eurasia otherwise.

That was why she put in extra effort to help everyone.

Lucio and his team could sense her sincerity, and they were touched by that gesture. Hence, they regarded her as their mentor and addressed her as Ms. Quinn.
