Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2652

With that said, Nathan turned to Colin and barked, “Colin!”

Colin stood straight and answered, “Yes, Sir!”

“Get a team of elites from Felidae Battalion and the intelligence department to form an investigation team. They will be tasked with investigating why President Woods' illness suddenly deteriorated. We must prove that Penny is innocent.”

“Yes, Sir! I'll see to it right away,” Colin replied with a salute.

He left the office hastily after saying that.

Now, the only ones left in the office were Nathan and Sage.

As Nathan said nothing else, Sage was about to leave when the former stopped him.

Sage inquired, “Sir, what can I do for you?”

Nathan waved at him. “Come closer. I have a secret mission for you.”

Sage was stunned. He quickly went next to Nathan to hear his order.

Nathan whispered a few sentences in his ear.

Sage's eyes widened in disbelief when he heard Nathan's order.

Nathan remained calm. “Remember, don't let anyone find out about this!”

Sage responded solemnly, “Don't worry, Sir. I'll work on it right away. I won't disappoint you!”

He then turned and left the office.

That very day, Nathan's investigation team and Erwin's Special Investigation Unit took action.

Nathan's investigation team included elites from Felidae Battalion, the intelligence department, Secret Service, and also professional hackers from the military. They began investigating the matter thoroughly.

After reporting the matter to Nathan, Colin commented, “Sir, Will is biased toward the Holmes family. He released the Goodall brothers without informing anyone of his decision. After the Goodall brothers regained freedom, they joined the Special Investigation Unit. As they held a grudge against you, they've been working hard to investigate the matter.”

He paused before adding, “Sir, Will has always been on good terms with the Holmes family. You shouldn't have transferred the Goodall brothers to Will's military prison. He ended up freeing them.”

Nathan replied nonchalantly, “I purposely transferred the Goodall brothers to Will's military prison.”

Colin could barely hide his surprise. “What?”

Nathan explained, “I was testing Will. Turns out he's closer to Erwin than I thought. He released Sigurd and Braydon to help Erwin and risked offending me.”

Testing Will?

Shocked, Colin gulped nervously. “Sir, do you mean that Will will side with Mr. Holmes if we are to be at odds?”

Nathan shrugged. “I don't know. We'll have to see about that.”
