Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2515

That night, Nathan, Zach, and the others drank merrily. By the time everyone else was drunk, Nathan was only a tad tipsy.

He then ordered his subordinates to bring Zach and the others back to rest.

After that, he went home with his family.

By the time they got home, it was already past eleven at night.

Hank and his wife were still baffled by the fact that Nathan was the Chief Military Governor. They looked at Penny enviously and said, “Penn, you're so lucky to have found a man as incredible as Nathan.”

“Yes. I'm very lucky,” Penny replied.

“Kylie, on the other hand, is doomed. We planned to get her paired up with Zyon, but who would've thought he was actually a scammer?” Hank heaved a sigh.

Prudence was pissed off as well.

“Exactly! Luckily, Nathan found out in time. Otherwise, our daughter would be done for.”

Kylie was stumped when she heard that. In embarrassment and anger, she retorted, “Dad, Mom, what are you guys talking about? Since the beginning, I've never liked Zyon. No matter how hard you guys try to match us up, I still wouldn't want to marry him. Hence, I won't get affected even if he wasn't exposed.”

Hank glared at her and said, “Yea, you're doomed, all right. Although you've already graduated so many years ago, you're still single. I bet you won't ever be able to get married!”

Kylie bit her lips and argued, “Stay out of my personal matters. Unless I really found someone I like, I'd never get married.”

“Keep up your arrogance, then. I think you'll never get married unless you've found someone as heroic as Nathan,” Prudence uttered.

“Fine! I'll stay single for the rest of my life, then. I can stay with Penny.

Shelter and food will be provided for me, isn't that great?” Kylie said.

On the screen, a male reporter was saying in a serious tone, “Recently, Ariarica had just sanctioned Eurasia, and they're targeting the major corporations in Eurasia. Although the list of sanction targets hasn’t been disclosed, sources indicate that Cross Group, which has gained fame in recent years, is one of the targets...” Nathan furrowed his brows when he heard the news.

Benson and the others were also shocked and angry.

Penny, on the other hand, collapsed onto the couch. She looked utterly miserable.

Seeing that, Nathan comforted her, “Don't worry. The news said the list hasn’t been disclosed yet, and they were just reporting based on their own sources. Besides, I'm sure our country won't sit by and watch while we're being targeted by Ariarica. Surely they'll come up with countermeasures.”

In response, Penny smiled bitterly and said, “Although the list hasn't been disclosed, our company's deputy general manager, Jimmy Leiberman, had just called me and told me about it. Besides, he also said that the representatives from Ariarica will pay us a visit in the next couple of days. By then, I think they'll make various demands on our company. Perhaps we can avoid getting sanctioned if we give in to their demands. Otherwise, it's just a matter of time before our company gets sanctioned.”

After a short pause, Penny added, “For sure, they’ll make unreasonable demands. I'm not sure if we can even comply if we wanted to. If we refuse, they'll sanction us. Since foreign countries are all using Ariarican currency to trade, we won't be able to do business internationally anymore. Once that happens, our international trades will be dealt a heavy blow, and our stocks will plummet. I don't even know if Cross Group can survive that.

Nathan held his wife's waist and comforted her, “Don't worry. There will be ways around it. I’ll look into this matter before discussing it with President Woods. We can't let Cross Group and the other companies get bullied by Ariarica.”
