Isaiah and the rest were stunned.
In a low voice, Isaiah said, “Admiral Max, he is obviously here to risk his life to wipe us out. That's too dangerous. I think we should order the soldiers to shoot him to his death.”
The other countries' representatives nodded in agreement, except for Catherine. She gazed at Lucas and recalled Eurasia's God of War, Nathan, who she used to admire greatly.
Max chuckled lightly. “So what if he's here to seek death? Even if a sheep risks its life to charge into a group of lions, can it bite a lion to its death? Let him in. Let's see what he has to say. We have tons of reporters from various countries here, so let's be gentlemen. If we allowed him entry, the entire world will see how Eurasia makes a fool of itself.”
Isaiah and the rest dared not defy Max's orders.
Soon, the soldiers received orders to allow Lucas entry.
They did as told, but their bodies were tensed up. The safety pins on their loaded guns were released, and they kept a finger on the triggers, ready to shoot Lucas anytime.
The elites and bodyguards who were tasked to protect the representatives narrowed their gazes and stared at Lucas, ready to take action anytime.
Finally, Lucas came to a stop before Max and the others.
The sight of Max and Isaiah made his eyes go red.
Thud!
He tossed the head he had been holding to the ground, and it rolled in Max and Isaiah's direction.
Unfazed, Lucas thumped his spear and stood straight. “I am here to challenge the nine countries,” he announced calmly. “If you're a warrior, stand out and accept my challenge. Even if you send thousands of warriors, I shall take you down alone. However, if you don't even have the guts to fight against me openly, just tell your soldiers to fire their guns. I'm not afraid of death.”
After a pause, he added, “If you don't have the guts to fight against me, then disperse after you kill me. Hide yourselves well. You don't even have the courage to face me, so you'll merely tremble in the presence of Eurasia's Chief Military Governor.”
Isaiah and the others grew enraged at his words.
However, Max clapped his hands and chuckled. “Ha! I knew you're something, Lucas Ziegler. You speak impudently even though death is looming. No wonder, they call you Dragon of the West!”
Max sneered, “Fine. We won't use any guns. Instead, we will send our men to fight against you! I shall take your life before the reporters and everyone watching the event, fair and square.”
Lucas waved. “Come on. Who wants to be the first to die?”
