“What? Nathan killed Red Spider?”
At a villa by the sea, Kristoff and Bowen were shocked to hear about what had happened.
One of Kristoff's subordinates reported, “Yes, Mr. Young. I've double-checked the news, and I'm certain that Red Spider has passed on.”
Bowen frowned. As a well-known businessman, he should not have involved himself in such fights in the first place.
However, it was too late for him to retreat now.
Meanwhile, Kristoff's head was throbbing. He thought he could get rid of Nathan once and for all after hiring the Gates of Hell's assassins.
Yet, not only did they fail to take down Nathan, Hades' daughter died in Nathan's hands too.
Besides, Hades would arrive soon.
How the hell am I going to tell Hades that his daughter is dead?
At that moment, one of his subordinate ran over.
“What's wrong? Why do you look so anxious?” Kristoff interrogated.
“Mr. Young, there's a group of people outside claiming that Hades has arrived.”
What? Hades is here?
Immediately, Kristoff and Bowen exchanged panicked looks. “Hurry, lead me to him. I have to welcome him in personally.”
“There is no need to welcome me in. I do not have the habit of waiting at the entrance, so I let myself in.”
By the door, a man spoke in a low and gruff voice. He was tall and sturdy-looking, with a group of men following behind him.
As he walked into the room, everyone started to stare at the prominent figure.
The man was blonde, and he wore a bronze mask that resembled a beast's face. On top of that, he was dressed in a black suit.
Since he was buff and had defined muscles, his black outfit looked more like a suit of armor on him.
The man was Hades, who headed the Gates of Hell.
Several competent generals stood behind him, with murderous looks on their faces.
“What is it?” Bowen immediately responded.
“Nathan is the most skilled fighter the Gates of Hell have ever seen. I have analyzed his profile and noticed that he was Commander-In-Chief of the North Army and had defeated the Coalition Army. He even earned the title of the God of War,” Hades commented.
At that, Kristoff s and Bowen's expressions changed.
Hades continued, “I had brought all the elite assassins from the Gates of Hell with me this time. Despite so, this is Eurasia, and I’m afraid Nathan could gather countless capable men himself to assist him. Therefore, we would have to set a trap to kill him. I hope to ask Mr. Camden to request a meeting with your daughter, Penny. Out of concern, Nathan would most likely accompany her, and we will set up an ambush for him when he comes for the meeting, so he has no way of making it out of there alive.”
Kristoff clapped. “That's a great idea!”
However, Bowen had concerns. “I have an estranged relationship with my daughter, and I'm afraid she might not wish to see me.”
Smirking, Hades replied, “Well, people in Eurasia care about their relationships, especially familial ties. Don't you believe that blood is thicker than water? I believe if you spend some effort, Penny would agree to meet with you.”
Bowen pondered over it.
Seeing how the man was still deep in thoughts, Kristoff tried convincing him, “Mr. Camden, if we kill Nathan, your daughter will have no choice but to return home with you. Cross Corporation will also be yours then, and we could profit off it. It’s a golden opportunity for us to achieve our goals, so why are you hesitating?”
After a short pause, Bowen finally agreed, “Okay, I'll give it a try.”
