Riches in Disguise

My father says, "I earned some pocket money from my fruit business. I'll transfer five million dollars to you!"

My dormmate says, "Your father only gave you a 500-dollar allowance? Man, that's cheap!"

I say, "I'll buy you anything you want. Money isn't a concern for me."

My ex-girlfriend says, "I can't believe you have the nerve to act like you're rich when you barely have any money in your wallet. You disgust me!"

I've never once thought of concealing my identity as a wealthy person, but everyone seems to take me for a pauper. No one believes me when I try to prove myself. Instead, they mock and laugh at me.

Well, at least it helps me see who my true friends are.

Those who abandoned me because they thought I was poor—I'll make them regret everything.

Those who were still nice to me and didn't mind me being poor—I'll help them get everything they want in life.

Poor people deserve to have friends, too. These friends are people who can be relied on in times of difficulty.

Poor people also deserve to have love. A partner like this is worthy of my love.

As for pretending to be poor… Why does it seem quite fun to me?
