Chapter 1353 You’re Pregnant, Can’t Do That
Gilbert had been working in the room. The computer was on in front of him, with some documents next to it. When they came in, he was writing on a piece of paper. After hearing what Kelvin said, he put down the pen in his hand and looked at Kisa, seemingly checking to see if she was injured.
Kisa deliberately let her hair down and her bangs just covered the bruise, which arose because Vivian had hit her with a teacup.
Gilbert glanced over her and looked at Kelvin. “Why did you say that?”
“Your woman was being paranoid all day, saying that she saw a shadow under the streetlight at night and someone was hiding behind trees. It’s creeping me out. I’m not going to walk with her at night anymore. I’m afraid she would scare me to death instead of other things.”
Hearing Kelvin grumbling and seeing his resentment, Gilbert said to him light–heartedly, “You should really work on your guts. Even Gracie has more guts than you.’
Kisa covered her mouth and giggled.
Kelvin glared at her. “I have guts and am not afraid of the dark. Gracie is afraid of the dark.”
Kisa snickered and said to Gilbert, “Did you hear that? He said he has a lot of guts. So how about we take him to that famous haunted house when we get back to Calthon?”
“No.” Gilbert refused outright. “You are pregnant. You can’t do that.”
“Right, right, right…” Kelvin quickly nodded his head. “You are pregnant and can’t play that kind of thrilling and exciting game.”
“But…” Gilbert added, “You can instead watch us play outside.”
Kisa was bemused. “Why not? I’m pretty mean, too. And I’ll fight you to death if you piss me off.”
“Well, true. You’d hate me if I pissed you off.” While speaking, he drew close to her and gently kissed her in the nape of her neck.
Kisa wrapped her arms around his neck and suddenly noticed a phenomenon; since the time Lea came to talk to her, she and Gilbert seemed to reconcile tacitly, with him treating her with utmost care and tenderness and her accepting it as a matter of course, and the two of them no longer mentioning those sad things from the past.
Kisa thought about it for a moment and decided it would be better not to tell Gilbert what Lea had talked to her about the other day. For now, she was not going to let him know she had forgiven him. After all, she was still thinking about whether to use that method to find out what Adrien had done to them.
“What happened here?“.
A twinge of pain on her forehead drew her attention back.
