Reborn Through Fire (Kisa and Gilbert) novel Chapter 1224

Chapter 1224 You're Framing Me

As soon as she finished speaking, Kisa pulled out a shiny diamond bracelet from Karen's purse. Suddenly, Karen's expression changed. "Impossible. That's impossible."

"Impossible, you say? Everyone saw me pull it out from your bag," Kisa sneered and threw the purse back to her.

It was as if Karen had thought of something when she said, "Y-You must have deliberately planted it in my bag when you picked it up earlier."

"What proof do you have?" Kisa looked at her and sneered, "You're the one who said that whoever has it in their bag is a thief, remember?"

"You're framing me!"

"Ha-ha. How could I ever dare to frame the d ignified daughter of the Reyes family? I'm just trying to prove to everyone that if my friend's a thief, then so are you."

"You!" Karen's face was contorted with anger. Carrie then took the opportunity and said, "You are clearly framing Ms. Reyes. Everyone knows how reputable the Reyes family is in Athadale. She has such a good family background. How could she be a thief? Your friend, on the other hand, is a lowly bar girl. So, it's hard to say that she did not steal from Ms. Reyes."

Kisa narrowed her eyes coldly. "Who said she was a bar girl?"

Lea subconsciously glanced at Anthony, but all she saw was the indifference and disgust in the man's eyes. Anthony stepped on the photo and said with a sneer, "So I spent my money in a bar. Why do you care? I ordered some drinks from her and from other women. Are you going to get all up in their business if they come home with me?"

"You!"

"You have too much time on your hands, Carrie. I can't believe you did so much to find out about a woman that has no relationship with me. Do you actually care about me, or are you trying to hurt my name?"

Carrie felt guilty when she heard what he said. She hurriedly chuckled," Listen to what you're saying. I obviously care about you. I just don't want you to be used by some woman with unscrupulous intentions to marry into the Mullen family. I mean, your mother tricked your dad into marrying her so that she could step into the family. What? Did she not teach you to guard yourself against those lowly women?"
