Using a new drug from their company, Mateo muted his scent. The drug would not give away any scent and he could disappear from the crowd with no evidence.

This is a new invitation from 'AAA' and it's only permitted to use in research that also needs high authority permission. Very few people have access to it and Mateo is one of them.

He felt guilty while stealing a little bit of drug but he has no other choice. Even if he ever gets caught, he at least believes that Augustus would understand his point of view. He did not take the drug to misuse it but to investigate a very deep matter.

He waited in the dark side of the jungle, mixing him behind the huge tree bushes.

Soon, he saw Carina coming out of the villa. She waited for some time to see if there is anyone following her and no one did.

Well, of course, no one would follow her because Mateo ordered his guards not to. He is the one who is gonna follow her this time.

After Carina realised she was not being followed, she immediately started walking further carefully.

At the end of the road, she once again looked around and immediately rushed into the dark forest.

Mateo's sharp eyes followed her from enough distance cautiously. He doesn't want to get caught by her at any cost!

And as he guessed, she did not take any way through the forest but to the way of the Blue Moon pack.

If she has turned good and realised her mistakes after getting caught, she wouldn't have dared to come to this pack at all!

He followed her and then he watched her going toward more to the public place. Shit! He cursed in mind. He can't lose her. But, how would he follow her to the public?

It's not that he is scared but people know him and they would recognise him and like that, his secret would come forward to Carina!

He can not be seen!

He waited for some time to see if she returns but unfortunately, she didn't and started disappearing in public.

As he was trying to find a way, his eyes caught something black on the ground and it was a cap! His eyes lit up and thanking the Goddess to bless him with the cap, he picked it up, well he was about to when,

"Who are you?" She asked in a childish tone and when he looked forward, a little girl was standing there with a little rabbit in her hand. "

Fuck! He cursed in mind. "Hi..." He smiled nervously at the kid. He felt like a thief who just gets caught. "What are you doing here alone?" He asked carefully.

The girl tilted her head at him and pouted. "I lost my way, will you help me to go to my mom?" She asked.

Mateo sighed and looked in Carina's direction. She has disappeared by now and he sighed inwardly again. He just lost her and watched the little girl.

The girl is so sweet and her big dough Mike brown eyes are sparkling at him with expectation. He nodded and stood up.

"Come with me. I will take you to your mother." He picked her up and came out of the jungle.

Carina frowned, "That is what I am suspicious about. What if it's his plan?"

Alice narrowed her eyes at her, "Stop being ridiculous! Do you think you can stand here with me if he gets to know and follow you here? Stop thinking absurd things and concentrate on our plan. Did you do what I asked you to do?"

"Yeah, I did," Carina replied. "The plan is all set. Just the moment she would come out to meet her ex-lover, they will catch her."

"Good." Alice nodded.

"Did you set the day? When will this happen?" Carina asked.

Alice smirked. "Soon. And I will let you know the date." And then frowned, "Heard that she is getting trained by Augustus every day?"

Carina smirked this time, "Your omega spy is always on her toes, huh?" And then nodded, "Yeah, she is on training, personally with her mate." She exaggerates pronouncing the word personally, making Alice angry. "Other than training, the mansion is always filled with screams and growls." She said with a hidden smirk as if she didn't know what she is saying.

"Shut up!" Alice glared at her. "You talk too much!" She knew that Carina said this on purpose to offend her but even though she is trying to anger her, Alice also know that this is true.

Her loyal omega also informed her about that. She huffed and vowed to kill Charlotte so painfully and get Augustus before turning and leaving. Carina immediately followed her and in the distance, Mateo stood behind the bushes, hearing them with his clenched heart.
