Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 935

“H-Hey! Miss…!” exclaimed one of the doctors as he attempted to chase after her!

However, he was promptly stopped when a tall figure walked in before saying, “It’s alright, you guys can leave. I’ll take care of her.”

“…Right away, Mr. Talton,” muttered the doctor as the other doctors and nurses helplessly retreated…

With that out of the way, the man then quickly caught up to the distressed woman while calling out, “Xavia, be careful.”

Upon hearing that familiar voice, Xavia turned around… and shortly after, she was greeted by the sight of the gentlemanly Stefan! As her eyes glimmered with hope, she quickly tugged on his arm while exclaiming, “M-Mr. Talton…! They were lying, right?! M-My Grandma and Yulia are fine, right…?! Please Mr. Talton…! Please bring me to them…!”

With how fragile she looked, Stefan couldn’t help but sigh helplessly. After all, knowing her, she wouldn’t take no for an answer… With that in mind, he was prompted to say, “…I’ll bring you there, though you’ll have to allow me to sit you on a wheelchair so that it won’t affect your wounds… Deal?”

“…Deal.”

Upon hearing that, Stefan ordered for someone to get a wheelchair… and once Xavia was on it, he slowly pushed her to the basement morgue…

The morgue itself was cold, silent, and dimly lit… and it didn’t take long before Xavia finally came across her grandmother, lying stiff and pale within what appeared to be an ice coffin...! Even a layer of frost had formed on her grandmother’s lips…! It was without a doubt, a sight that she was completely unprepared to see…!

With how shocked Xavia looked, Stefan placed his hand on her shoulder before saying, “…You’ve already been in a coma for a week, Xavia… With that said, the old lady should’ve been buried ages ago… However, I knew you would want to meet her for one final time, which is why I left her here… Please Xavia… You need to accept the reality of the situation…”

Upon hearing that, Stefan couldn’t help but remain silent. After all, he knew that the crash had only happened because the driver was drunk driving… Still, this at least gave Xavia a motivation to live…

With that in mind, though Stefan didn’t believe her, he was prompted to say, “…Alright, just let me know what you need, and I’ll give you a hand…”

Somehow after hearing that, Xavia felt herself calm down… Or perhaps it was simply because her urge for revenge overrode her feelings of grief. Nevertheless, Xavia then held onto her grandmother’s icy hand and stayed like that for another half an hour… before finally giving Stefan permission to bury her…

There was no funeral, and she didn’t invite anyone to offer condolences either. It was a simple cremation, and once that was done, her grandmother was buried in the back of the old house’s hill… It was a quiet and pleasant place right next to her grandfather’s tomb, and it faced the fields and had great mountains behind it…

“Rest happily with Grandpa, Grandma… and enjoy the peace of heaven where pain no longer exists… Don’t worry, you can leave the rest to me, Grandma… I’ll be sure to avenge you…”
