Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 748

It was Keith who had managed to prop himself up in time with his cane! Looking straight into Helen’s eyes, Keith eventually said, “Xavia didn’t mean it, Mom. Don’t blame her.”

“…That… Either way, quickly get back in bed first…” muttered the surprised Helen. To think that Keith would still stand up for Xavia even when he was this injured!

“Only if you promise not to make things any harder for Xavia.”

“…Fine. I won’t. I see you’ve forsaken your mother now that you’ve gotten yourself a girlfriend… Whatever the case is, hurry back in bed…” replied Helen as she and Xavia helped Keith back onto his bed.

Xavia herself couldn’t help but simultaneously feel grateful and guilty when she saw Keith’s face. After all, she was the reason he was in such a state, yet he still got up to defend her… From the looks of it, he really was a good person… Well, aside from the fact that he couldn’t control his lust at times.

Regardless, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to yell or teach Xavia a lesson with Keith there, the pissed Helen then began taking out several items while grumbling, “Here are Keith’s clothes. Organize them well. Also, the weather’s hot today, so remember to keep his body swear-free. I brought his favorite fruits as well. Peel them for him…”

As Helen’s list of chores went on and on, Xavia couldn’t help but think that the woman was exceedingly troublesome.

Sensing that, Helen was prompted to ask, “Hmm? Think I’m annoying or something?”

“…Not at all… All those are things I should do, so don’t worry… I’ll definitely take good care of Young Master Keith,” replied Xavia as she obediently continued listening to Helen’s eternal list of chores…

It was only after that woman left when Xavia finally let out a sigh of relief. This prompted Keith to say, “…I’m sorry for troubling you… My mother has always liked making a mountain out of a molehill…”

“It’s fine… It’s only normal for a mother to worry about her son. Don’t feel sorry…” replied Xavia with a smile. She could understand how mothers felt, so she wasn’t all that angry.

Speaking of mothers, she felt awful just thinking of Zivon having no mother to care for him now that such an accident had happened… In fact, nobody had come to visit or worry about him… Actually, hold on. Where had Zivon gone off to? Xavia hadn’t seen him since dinner…

With that in mind, Xavia quickly washed some fruits before saying, “I’ll be heading out for a bit, so have these fruits in the meantime…”

“I am… I really want to leave the Burtons, not because I can’t fit in with them, but because your parents really don’t seem like they’d ever accept me and Yulia… Well, being single is freedom anyway. Long live singles, am I right?” replied Xavia, prompting Keith to momentarily go speechless.

After a brief pause, Keith then replied, “Xavia… I’ll do my best to convince my parents… All you have to do is stay by my side and fall for me…”

“I’ll have to refuse. Love hurts, and you can’t make me think otherwise. I’ll get the green space for you, and you’ll find yourself a better woman… We’re better off separated.”

…Love was going to hurt no matter who she was with? Feeling like she was implying something—and that her emotions weren’t right—, Keith squinted his eyes before saying, “…Come over here.”

“…Hmm? What’s wrong?” asked Xavia with a slight frown as she put her blueprints down and walked to his bed.

Since she had assumed that he needed something from her, she was surprised when he held onto her tiny hands before seriously saying, “Xavia, love doesn’t hurt… After all, I’ve felt a bit strange, but never happier after falling for you… Try stepping down the same path I did, and maybe you’ll be able to feel something different…”
