“If you don’t have anything else to say, leave before I get angry…”
This was a clear warning, and Xavia instantly went pale. Though she still had a lot to say, no way in hell was she about to challenge his authority after hearing that! With that, she quickly grabbed a large suit and wrapped it around her before running off…
Zivon himself was now exuding his oppressive aura again, and he couldn’t help but rub his temple… Moving toward his floor-to-ceiling windows, he stared down at most of Darlsbury, looking like a powerful yet lonely falcon…
Seeing this, Nathan couldn’t help but feel slightly sympathetic. After all, regular people only had to consider whether they liked or disliked someone when it came to marriage and divorces… It was ironic that the wealthy Zivon—who seemed like he had the world in his hands—couldn’t even have the final say in his own marriage contract…
Regardless, fast forward to evening the next day, it was finally time for their departure for Hawaii.
Though Xavia really didn’t want to go—to the point where she even had Bianca give Keith a call—, in the end, she still had to come along. With no way out, all she could do was tell herself that accompanying Keith was her way of showing her gratitude…
As for Yulia and Maison, they weren’t brought along since they’d be traveling up mountains and it’d be a bit too dangerous for them. Instead, Zayne and the housekeeper were tasked with taking care of them for now…
Whatever the case was, once they had all boarded the plane, Xavia couldn’t help but look out the window. She wasn’t feeling this trip at all…
Her train of thought was cut short when she heard someone say in a cheery tone, “Sister-in-law? It’s been ages! Why are you sitting here of all places?”
Turning to face the voice, Xavia saw that it was Winnie. Watching as Winnie then walked up to her—with a smile on her face—, it truly seemed that Winnie was the only Burton who had managed to remain kind and pure. That was a miracle within that family of vicious and pretentious people…
Xavia, for one, liked her a lot, and she was just about to greet her when Keith—who was sitting beside her—interrupted, “She’s not your sister-in-law, Winnie. She’s my girlfriend.”
…What? Since when had her sister-in-law become Keith’s girlfriend? Though Winnie wanted to smack the back of Keith’s head, she heard the real Jenna say, “I’m over here, Winnie…”
“What are you even saying, Grandma…? You’ll definitely be able to see through their birth!” replied Jenna as she revealed a gentle smile. Zivon, however, simply remained silent…
All of a sudden, the sound of someone retching filled the air! It almost felt like a suitable response to all that was currently happening… Regardless, everyone quickly turned to face the source of the sound… and apparently, the culprit was Xavia! Now covering her mouth, the panicking Xavia quickly got out of her seat before rushing toward the washroom!
After all that had been said, Winnie couldn’t help but exclaim, “My god! I was just speaking my mind! Is Sister Xavia really pregnant?!”
Though the elders didn’t really like Xavia, if she really was pregnant, then it’d still be a happy event.
Keith, however, didn’t look happy at all. Narrowing his eyes beneath his gold-rimmed glasses, he knew for a fact that he hadn’t touched Xavia before. Even when he was drunk that night, he didn’t copulate with her. With that in mind, how was she pregnant? Unless…
As Keith shot a glare at Zivon, Zivon himself was staring in the direction where Xavia had run off, a heavy expression on his face. Was she really pregnant? With Keith’s baby…?
