Jenna immediately became curious. “What is the significance of the house to the young master?”

“Madam, that's a sensitive topic. Normally, I wouldn’t dare mention it, and Young Master Burton gets angry even if the old lady mentions it, so it’s best if you don’t pry anymore.”

Sensitive topic? Zivon would get angry even if his grandmother brought it up?

Jenna smirked, her gaze sinister. “Alright, I got it.”

After she ended the call with Nathan, she gave Xavia a call. “Zivon seems to be busy; he said he’d give me a reply in two weeks. I can’t do anything more on my side, so if you and Bianca can’t wait, just go over there and talk to him in person. I don’t mind, after all, since it’s my fault I can’t help.”

Xavia frowned. Why was Jenna being so nice and reasonable all of a sudden? Xavia felt it was strange, but they couldn’t afford to wait two weeks. “Okay. Don’t worry—I’ll only be talking about the house, and I’ll leave when I’m done.”

“Yeah.” Jenna ended the call, a smug smile on her lips.

Zivon absolutely hated women who had no self-awareness. He had even refused to give the house to Jenna, so how could he possibly give it to Xavia? Besides, it was such a sensitive topic that even the old lady couldn’t talk about it!

Xavia was surely going to screw herself over, and Jenna was just going to sit back and watch it happen.

Xavia didn’t know Jenna’s ulterior motive, but since she said she didn’t mind her talking to Zivon, Xavia didn’t overthink it. It was purely for business anyway.

Besides, she also planned to bring Keith with her.

When Xavia arrived at the office, she went to greet the receptionist, but to her surprise, found that the receptionist had changed.

“Third Young Lady, have you come to see Young Master Burton? He’s not in the company today,” the female clerk outside the office informed warmly.

Xavia’s face paled. She had only been standing in front of Keith’s office, she hadn’t meant it like that!

“I was looking for you, but I wanted Keith to accompany me.” Her small voice was defensive, and her explanation did nothing to placate Zivon.

“You have to bring him along when you see me? Are you deliberately trying to show me how affectionate you both are, or are you worried he’d be jealous?” Zivon sneered mockingly.

Xavia clenched her fists tightly. It was impossible to have a normal conversation with this man!

“Since you’re clearly not in a good mood, I’ll leave.” They could just remodel the run-down house they had and make the two-hour commute every day. She didn’t want to see Zivon’s face at all!

Xavia took a step back and was about to leave, but Zivon swiftly reached out and grabbed her wrist, practically dragging her into the office with him.
