Chapter 981

“Let’s go home for dinner,” Anthony said as he led Annę and the children into the car.

On the way home, Anne noticed that the triplets were oddly quiet as they leaned against her, as though they had done something wrong, but she did not have a clue on what happened.

“What’s wrong?” She asked.

The triplets shook their heads in unison.

Anthony stared at them pointedly and said, “They are probably tired!”

Charlie flushed and remained quiet, while the other two nodded in agreement.

Anne turned to study Anthony’s face and though he remained expressionless, something felt different.

They arrived at the Royal Mansion and the five headed into the dining hall to eat.

After dinner, Anne got up to use the bathroom and the triplets tried to follow her, when Anthony stopped them. “Stay right here.”

Anne turned around. She had been a lot slower since she lost her memories and asked, “Do you three want to use the bathroom as well?”

“They don’t,” Anthony said, “you should go ahead.”

Anne shot him a confused look, before heading into the bathroom.

Once the door was closed, Anthony’s shadow loomed over the trembling triplets.

“Papa…”

“Don’t try to make excuses,” Anthony said coldly.

The three pouted.

“The two of you, stand in the study room and reflect on your actions!” Anthony commanded Charlie and Chris.

“We…we didn’t do anything wrong!” Charlie protested .

“Have I not told you not to talk to Lucas Newman?” Anthony questioned sharply.

“Papa, we just ran into him by accident…” Chris explained.

She studied the dark look on his face in confusion, wondering if he was angry with something.

‘But why?‘ She thought. ‘Did the triplets do something?”

She went up the stairs and Anthony turned to head into the study room.

Once he opened the door, Charlie, who was on Anthony’s office chair, and Chris who was playing on the coffee table, immediately ran toward the corner, facing the wall.

Anthony shot the two a glare before walking over to stand behind them expressionlessly. “Come here.”

Thinking that they had been forgiven, Charlie and Chris turned around to look at Anthony.

Charlie was still slightly upset and was determined not to forgive Anthony even if Anthony apologized.

Anthony took out pieces of paper along with two pens from the drawers of his desk and picked a finance book from the shelf, before sitting down on the couch. He opened the book and commanded, “Copy.”

Charlie and Chris stared at the pages filled with words, their faces twisting in pain.

“What, you can’t?” Anthony asked.
