After rushing out of Brad's hospital room, Nadine returned to the doctor's office. Even as she sat at her desk, her heart was still racing.
She and Brad had been married for six years, and she'd lost count of the number of times they'd been intimate. The moment her fingertips brushed against his smooth chest and felt his defined muscles earlier, it instantly brought back memories of their time in bed together.
Back then, she'd been bold and shameless. Her long, graceful legs would wrap around his waist, her hands eagerly exploring his abs, running over each defined ridge.
She would touch him and compliment him, saying how great his body was and how good he was in bed. Before she could praise him much, he'd lose control and silence her with his overwhelming passion.
Just moments ago, when her fingers touched Brad's abs again, her mind couldn't help but drift to the passionate moments they had shared. It was often said that men loved through desire, and women desired through love.
When Brad was with her in bed, surely he must have lost control at least a little, right? While she was lost in those thoughts, Seraphina walked in. "Come with me, Nadine. I need to go over Mr. Hamilton Senior's condition with you."
Seraphina was extremely professional and explained Adam's condition in a clear and simple way that was easy to understand. Nadine caught on almost immediately.
With a heart transplant, Adam could live for another three years or so. However, Adam had decided he didn't want to undergo the transplant. He believed the heart should go to someone with more to gain, someone who wouldn't be a burden on society.
Three years didn't mean much to him. Without the transplant, he could survive that long on medication alone.
After hearing Seraphina's explanation, Nadine fell silent. While she was racking her brain, trying to figure out how to convince Adam to undergo the surgery, a nurse knocked on the door of the doctor's office.
"Ms. Scott, Mr. Hamilton from the VIP room says he's not feeling well and has asked for you to check on him."
