Brad had thoroughly investigated Nadine's purpose in coming to Pittsbrew as well as her schedule. He knew her itinerary like the back of his hand.
The seminar was organized by Sebastian—a man Brad despised. Regardless, Brad still ensured Nadine could participate smoothly without interference.
He was fully aware that the seminar would conclude at noon, so he timed his arrival perfectly.
Brad heard the professors' enthusiastic chatter about Sebastian and Nadine being a couple. His deep-seated jealousy finally boiled over. He couldn't hold it in and shouted his grievances.
Everyone in the room turned toward the doorway, where Brad now stood, clad in a navy blue tailored suit, black leather shoes, and a crisp white shirt. His neatly combed hair and sharp features gave him an air of intimidation.
With his left hand, he held onto a handsome little boy dressed in a matching suit. Sean's bright eyes and fair skin made him look like a miniature version of Brad.
The crowd, still in shock from Brad's outburst, began to notice the resemblance between Sean and Nadine. After scrutinizing Sean for a moment, they realized he indeed bore a striking resemblance to her.
The professors then realized they had misunderstood the nature of the relationship. They exchanged awkward glances, unsure of what to say.
"What? Nadine is so young, and she already has a child?"
"Exactly! Look at the boy—he's almost identical to Nadine. He must be her son indeed."
"Wow. Nadine must have had a child really early."
"But wait… If Nadine already has a child, what's going on between her and Mr. Caldwell?"
The discussion quickly shifted focus to Nadine.
"Who knows? But the man with the child doesn't look like a good person. Maybe he treated Nadine poorly, and she doesn't like him."
"Yeah, he looks so angry. He might even be abusive. We should warn Nadine to stay away from him."
Eventually, one of the professors asked her, "Nadine, who is this man? He seems so intimidating."
