Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 932

After Sherry was transferred to the hospital owned by MO Group, her medical fees were completely waived.

Both Boyle and Cherie went to visit Sherry on the day of her transfer.

Andy was incredibly grateful toward Boyle.

Soon, Boyle and Andy exited the patient's ward, leaving behind both the girls.

Since Cherie had not stayed in contact with Sherry for such a long time, they had very little knowledge of each other's love life.

All Sherry knew was Cherie once had an ex boyfriend in America and his name was Rowan Hills.

Boyle overheard their conversation when he was about to return to the patient's ward.

Sherry asked, "What happened to Rowan?"

"We broke up four years ago."

Boyle gripped the handle harder when he heard Rowan's name as he was not completely oblivious toward Rowan's existence.

When he visited Cherie in Philadelphia four years ago, he coincidentally ran into both Cherie and Rowan.

He noticed Cherie leaning against the bleachers while she watched the man play basketball. She was beaming while she stared at the man and her smile looked extremely sweet then.

It was also during that period Boyle decided to seek professional help as he wanted to forget all about Cherie and allowed the both of them to each start their own lives.

If it was not for Rowan's appearance, Boyle might actually have approached her then.

However, there were no what if's in life.

Boyle's refusal to talk about Rowan with Cherie was not because of him being afraid of him but instead, he could not bring himself to talk about it.

He was afraid of her actually being in love with Rowan.

The way she looked at the man could not be faked. She could not lie to anyone, not even him with that gaze.

That was because the way she looked at him was similar to when she looked at Boyle. All she could focus on was him, and no one else.

After they were done with Sherry's visit, they left the hospital and Boyle drove Cherie home.

Cherie decided to scroll through her Facebook feed.

Rowan had posted a picture of a wedding gown.

The picture showed the couple. They looked perfect with each other.

The caption read, [Please take care of me for the rest of my life.]

Cherie liked the post.

Rowan sent her a text the instant after she liked the post.

Rowan asked, [How are you doing lately, Cherie? I heard you've returned home.]

Cherie replied, [I've been doing well.]

Rowan said, [I'll be getting married soon and the wedding is next weekend. Are you free to attend?]

Cherie replied, [Oh, count me out but I'll give you my blessings.]

Rowan replied, [Thank you.]

After a long while, Cherie noticed the prompt read, 'Rowan is typing…'

Rowan seemed to be asking in a hesitant manner after a brief moment, [Have you met the one that you've been searching for all this while after you came back?]

Cherie replied, [I have.]

[Are you guys dating now?]

[We are.]

Rowan let out a sigh of relief and said, [I should congratulate you too then.]

As Cherie stared at his blessing, she replied after a good long while, [I still owe you an apology.]

Rowan replied, [It's been so long already and if you really want to apologize, I think I have some mistakes to apologize for too. Back then, you were… forget it. Let's not talk about it. You've found him already and as long as you are well, it's all good then.]

Cherie did not reply to him after that and she locked her phone.

It did not take long for her to receive another text.

Rowan said, [To be honest, I'm actually quite curious to know everything about him. I'm curious to know why you're so obsessed about him. Can I meet him? If I know that he's an absolutely amazing guy then I will feel like it was an honor to have lost to him back then.]

Cherie asked, [What if he's not then?]

Rowan replied, [Then, I will think that you're blind and you're unworthy to be with someone as amazing as me. That way, I'd be happier to get married.]

Cherie was speechless.

Cherie raised her head and took a glance at Boyle who was driving.

The man looked impressive as usual.

Cherie lowered her head and replied, [You'd be very disappointed then.]

Rowan said, [Don't worry. As long as he actually loves you as much then, I'd be happy for you. Truly, I will from the bottom of my heart.]

Boyle trembled as it seemed Rowan had triggered him.

However, both Boyle and Cherie in comparison to Rowan were completely different people from two different worlds. Rowan was without a doubt a completely average person, so he could never understand the depth of Boyle and Cherie's relationship.

Boyle gave him a cold and sinister glare as he said, "Now that we've met, are you satisfied yet?"

Rowan chuckled gleefully and said, "Aside from your incredibly hostile temper, I'm satisfied with pretty much everything else. It seems Cherie has great taste after all. I am convinced by that. That was because she once had a crush on me and this shows that she isn't blind after all."

An extremely cold glint could be seen in Boyle's eyes.

It seemed Boyle was unable to be as calm as he usually was.

That was because Boyle was unsure if Cherie had actually once loved Rowan or not.

Boyle's reply was hard to listen to as he said, "Since you are getting married, Mr. Hills, you shouldn't harbor any remnants of feelings or be curious toward an ex. This shows your disloyalty toward your fiance. As for Cherie though, she isn’t someone you should even be thinking about."

"You seem to have some sort of biased opinion toward me."

Boyle's tone sounded extremely hostile as he said, "I can never be nice to anyone who yearns for Cherie."

When Rowan noticed how serious Boyle seemed, he finally said, "I am never in the wrong to yearn for her. However, I found her odd while we were dating. She would always stand behind me. We basically have never even held hands before. We were not even like a real couple, you know."

Boyle could not bear to hear someone calling Cherie odd or weird.

He frowned hard while his gaze turned menacingly cold as he said, "She isn't odd or weird. You're the odd one since you don't understand her and yet you lusted for her touch."

Rowan did not snap back at him as he replied in complete agreement with Boyle. "You're absolutely right. Now it seems that I really did lust for her touch. I guess… I'm not fortunate enough to appreciate her soul."

However, his comments did not seem kind to Boyle's ears as he clenched his fists so tightly on the table that his fingertips turned pale.

He was fuming with rage in his eyes.

Rowan spoke in a carefree tone, "Not long after I've dated her, she was admitted to the hospital from slitting her wrists. I was completely shocked when the hospital called me. The doctor even showed me the video of her suicide attempt. To be honest, any normal person would tremble at the sight of such a gory scene. I was no exception. I just felt like Cherie was the actual devil since she was bold enough to curse a man with her own death."

Rowan started to laugh as he continued, "I just thought that the cursed man was really sad since the man would undoubtedly watch those videos if Cherie actually died. I can guarantee that the man’s life would not end well after watching those videos."

Boyle listened to his ramblings in silence while his immense rage boiled.

Rowan continued after taking a glance at Boyle's clenched fists, "I felt like the woman was terrifying and sad at the same time when I saw her in the hospital. Not to mention, she's even a little naive. Her affection and love was manic and twisted but I admit, I am not fortunate enough to receive any of her affection."

Boyle chuckled coldly and said, "She has never given you an ounce of love for you to enjoy."

"I thought I'm quite the capable man to have her approach me on her own. I thought she was interested in me or should I say, it was love in first sight for her. However, I soon found out after that, that she only approached me because my back resembled a man named Boyle Lawson."

Boyle's heart thumped violently.

Rowan then said, "I've never expected that something this outrageous could've happened to me. I actually became a replacement for another man. Or perhaps, I wasn’t even close to being a replacement. All Cherie wanted from me was a reminder of you. That was why she would always stand behind me while we were dating. She would always stare at my back with immense love but now that I think of it, the whole ordeal was terrifyingly funny."
