As Heaton heard his daughter grumbling about him, he lifted his hand and rubbed her forehead. “I’ll bring you to the funfair when we’re back in the city, alright?”

Little Jelly Bean answered thoughtfully. “But grandma, we just met yesterday and you even kissed me a few times!”

“That was yesterday. Today is today. I miss you so much every day.”

Little Jelly Bean rested her hands on Yannis’s neck. “I miss grandma every day too.”

Heaton and Verian walked toward them, Yale following after them with their luggage in hand.

Yannis shifted her gaze toward the husband and wife duo. “Heaton, Riana, just spend a few days more at South City since you guys are here now. I’m quite lonely here.”

The cafeteria was overcrowded as it was now lunchtime.

Verian and Xylean both held Little Jelly Bean’s hand and went to the cafeteria. Xylean was in charge of getting the food while Verian looked after Little Jelly Bean. However, Xylean alone could not carry many dishes by herself, so Verian held Little Jelly Bean’s hand and went to the queue to look for Xylean.
