Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 336

The sounds of fireworks filled the surrounding area of the Shallow Bay Mansion on the first day of Chinese New Year.

Heaton stood by the window while clutching on his window. He took a look at Little Jelly Bean who was still sound asleep.

Kush had just woken up when he received the phone call. He said, “Happy New Year, boss.”

Kush replied in a calm tone, “Get the lawyers to prepare two copies of divorce agreements. Make the terms as detailed as possible.”

Kush was startled as he said, “Huh? Boss, don’t act too rashly. Although he had not located madam yet, the chairman wouldn’t actually allow you guys to divorce like that. Besides, madam is still waiting for you to bring her home…”

“Make the preparations…”

Heaton’s voice sounded calm. There was not a hint of sadness in his voice.

As Kush stared at his phone after the call had ended, he was stunned for a few seconds before mumbling to himself, “Having a lawyer arrange divorce agreements on the first day of the new year seems like a bad omen…”

However, on a much deeper thought, he felt that the entire situation seemed off.

Kush then slapped his head as he finally understood Heaton’s intentions.

Would boss be using a ‘fake divorce’ to lure the madam out of hiding?

Fudd family home, 8A.M.

Heaton brought Little Jelly Bean home.

Little Jelly Bean was drinking a glass of warm milk while rubbing her sleepy eyes. She spoke in a childish tone, “Grandpa, daddy woke me up very early in the morning. Hmph, I am very tired and I still want to sleep.”

Old Master Fudd patted Little Jelly Bean’s head before replying in a loving tone, “Go upstairs and sleep then, if you want to. Madam Leah, bring Little Jelly Bean upstairs to take a nap.”

“Yes, master.”

After Madam Leah carried Little Jelly Bean upstairs, Old Master Fudd’s expression turned serious. He placed both hands behind his back while speaking in a neutral tone, “Didn’t you mention that you won’t ever return to this house anymore? Why’d you come back after only a few days? I didn’t ask for you.”

Heaton tossed the envelope on the table in front of him. He said, “I have two purposes for coming back. One, I need to send Little Jelly Bean home and two, I want to hand this to you. Please give this to Verian. I’ve signed it already.”

Old Master Fudd trembled as he looked at the envelope. He asked with a frown, “What is this?”

Heaton replied with an emotionless expression, “Divorce agreements, just like you wanted.”

The old man frowned deeper as he said, “You wish to divorce Verian?”

Heaton stared at the old man with a monotonous gaze while saying, “Didn’t you want to divorce her? I’ve even signed it for you so, what are you still dissatisfied about?”

Old Master Fudd clutched onto his walking stick while staring directly at Heaton. It seemed as if he was trying to gauge any sort of hints of his scheme. However, Heaton’s eyes were clearly reflecting his absolute intention of divorcing Verian.

“You really want to divorce Verian? Weren’t you previously ready to give up everything just for her? Why the sudden change of mind?”

If he did not understand Heaton well enough, Old Master Fudd would actually think that Heaton was a cold and irresponsible man at this moment.

He sat on the side of the couch while speaking in a neutral tone, “You said it yourself, that was the past. I will only love one woman in my lifetime and I am not at fault for loving her, no. However, I could not risk the entire reputation of our family and my future just for her. I am not that daft.”

The old man was speechless as he thought if the b*stard child, Heaton had actually become something this heartless and cold?

The old man found it odd as he said, “Weren’t you adamant on never seeing me again two days ago just for her? Why now… you b*stard child, you aren’t planning on scheming against me now, are you? To use the divorce in order to force that woman out from me?”

“It’s entirely up to you on what you think. Besides, I’ve signed it already.”

“You… you b*stard child…”

The old man actually could not tell if Heaton was actually being serious or not at this moment.

After Heaton left him with the divorce agreements, he did not plan on staying behind as he said, “I have a dinner to attend to tonight so, those invitations by my aunts, well, you can have Nancy bring Zaynie and Little Jelly Bean to those.”

“Yea… it’s not sure what this b*stard child is thinking. He even came over a few days ago to argue with me just for her and now, he wants to divorce her.”

The old man could not help but think that the entire ordeal felt off to him.

Nancy was secretly delighted in her heart.

It seemed Heaton actually grew tired of Verian already.

Clear River City, 9A.M.

Serene dressed herself up the moment she woke up early in the morning. Her parents felt off when she was not struggling to get out of bed this morning.

“We’re not visiting anyone today, honey. Your uncles will come over to our house for lunch later.”

After Serene got dressed, she said, “Mom, dad, can I… not come home for lunch today?”

“Are you hanging out with your friends today?”

Serene replied with a simple, “Yeah.” Before continuing, “I am hanging out with my friends with my friends at noon later.”

Her lie seemed pretty smooth.

Her parents never said anything else. However, before Serene went out, she thought that Wilson might actually not have breakfast yet this morning since he could never bat an eye to a lowly three-star hotel’s breakfast menu. He might actually think their food was unhygienic. So, she secretly went to the kitchen and grabbed a thermos lunchbox before scooping up more than ten dumplings inside.

Before she left, she obediently said, “Mom, dad, I’ll be home a little late tonight.”

“Not so fast, leave after you have some dessert to drink.”

Serene’s father scooped a bowl of dessert and handed it over to her. Serene chugged it all down before heading out in a delightful mood.
