Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 303

Serene took her own sweet time in following her mother to the bedroom next door.

Serene's mother was pacing back and forth in the room as if she had a lot to educate her on but was too anxious as she did not know where to start.

Serene's mother pointed at Serene angrily. “You! Go and stand against the wall over there!”

Serene obediently went to stand against the wall as she held both her hands over her head in surrender. “Mom... Just now we... We weren’t doing that...”

Her mother’s gaze wavered. “That? What were you two doing?”

Serene pinched her two ears which were burning and blushing. She bit her lips and mumbled, “If it’s not that then it isn’t...”

“Serene, you are so daring nowadays, huh? What have I taught you since young?”

“Girls must be reserved, respect themselves, and never act recklessly.”

“Never act recklessly? Your memory is rather good. So what happened just now?”

Serene looked at her mother’s fierce-looking face and felt wronged. “I’m not the one who kissed him, it’s...”

“Serene, is there any difference between you kissing him or vice versa? You better tell me honestly. Did you two have sex!”

Serene wanted to nod subconsciously but before she was about to do so, she immediately stopped herself and quickly shook her head violently as if someone were shaking a drum-shaped rattle. “No, no! Mom! I’m innocent...”

Serene's mother walked toward her and sternly repeated word-by-word in her ear, “Serene, you can date guys. I don’t intervene in you dating others. However, there is one thing you must remember. Although our family is not a rich, aristocratic family, we have our rules. You can date with Chainey but cannot exceed the boundary if you haven’t married yet! Do you understand what I’m saying!”

‘If my mum knew I had a one night stand with Wilson, would she grab a kitchen knife and chop me into pieces? Or...chop Wilson into pieces?’ she wondered.

“Yes, I understand mom.”

Serene's mother pulled her ears. “Do you think just knowing is enough? You and Chainey are at home now, so why were you two...on the bed? If this wasn’t our house and you two were outside, both of you would have...”

Serene's mother became more concerned as she pondered further. “No matter what, Serene, you better protect yourself well! Do you hear me!”

“I know. I will surely keep my virginity until marriage.”

Serene's mother glared at her again before letting her go.

When Serene's mother walked out from the bedroom, Serene followed behind her timidly like a little squirrel.

Wilson’s nose was bleeding and was due to Serene’s punch earlier.

Serene's mother wondered why. “Chainey, why is your nose bleeding?”

Wilson glanced at Serene intensely before saying impassively, “I might be a little heaty.”

Oh no! This was bad! This guy would surely hold grudges against her! Once they were back at the hospital, she did not know how he would take revenge against her!

She quickly ran over and obligingly held a tissue and tiptoed up to his face to wipe away the blood from his nose.

As Wilson looked at the little girl who was helping him to wipe the blood trickling from the nose, his gaze involuntarily softened.

Serene muttered in a voice that only they could hear, “I didn’t punch you on purpose just now. Who asked you to behave like a hooligan!”

“I didn’t do anything wrong! You can only blame yourself!”

Serene's mother watched the “little couple” get along well and suddenly smiled. She then dragged Serene's father into their own bedroom to leave them alone in the living room.

In the bedroom, Serene's father was holding a newspaper in his hands and had a slightly puzzled expression. “Why did you drag me here? My tea is still brewing in the living room.”

In the living room, Serene was still treating Wilson’s nose injury. When Serene's mother entered the living room, she cleared her throat twice.

Wilson’s and Serene’s gazes both shifted toward Serene's mother simultaneously.

Serene's mother then asked, “Hey, Chainey? I think...it’s quite late now. You-you’re staying at...”

Serene's mother had yet to complete her sentence when Wilson politely answered, “Aunt, I’m planning to stay at a hotel tonight.”

The moment she heard this, Serene's mother immediately heaved a sigh of relief. “That’s good. I was worried that you’d have no place to sleep. We only have two bedrooms here and I’d feel embarrassed to ask you to sleep in our living room. Stay at the hotel then. It’ll be more comfortable.”

Before Wilson left, Serene's father and mother sent him off at the entrance.

Serene's mother then called out to Serene. “Renie! You should send Chainey downstairs. Chainey, will you come to our house for breakfast tomorrow morning?”

Wilson smiled politely and refused apologetically. “It’s all right, aunt. I still have some private matters to attend to tomorrow, so I won’t be able to come over.”

“Oh, alright. You can come to our house together with Renie again next time. I’ll cook some delicious food for you!”

After saying goodbye to them, Serene sent Wilson downstairs.

Serene's father and mother stood by the window and glimpsed at the Audi parked downstairs.

Serene's mother worriedly asked, “This Chainey is so young and already has an Audi? Do you think his family is filthy rich?”

“I know, right? If he’s too rich, Serene definitely cannot marry into their family. What if she’s bullied by her in-laws?”

Her forehead creased as she felt anxious. “Yes. If he’s too rich, his family will be more complicated as well. Renie is quite innocent and if she unintentionally hurt his mother’s feelings, she’ll get into trouble. However, I find Chainey quite polite and humble. His family upbringing should be very good. I believe his parents are good-natured as well.”

“Let’s not think too much about this. In short, if he is unable to make our daughter happy, we’ll have our daughter live with us for the rest of our lives instead of letting her marry the wrong person.”
