Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress novel Chapter 953

Chapter 953: Do you also buy information?

The Miller father and son didn’t dwell on the meeting place they were told, thinking Penny was probably already there. Considering Penny also handled Zoren’s security and his business relationship with Atlas, there was likely a reason. Besides, this only showed that the Bennets’ and Piersons’ ties were growing stronger.

With that in mind, the father and son headed out to meet Penny and finalize the deal. The faster, the better.

However, on their way out, Patricia was just coming in through the front door.

"Huh?" Patricia stopped, looking disheveled and stressed, as if she hadn’t slept all night. Seeing her father and brother in suits, her face twisted. "Goodness. Why are you still in suits when you all know appearances aren’t going to cut it anymore?"

Patricia rolled her eyes and dragged herself inside, unbothered by their opinions. Mr. Miller barely reacted, because, for him, it was his fault that his daughter was acting this way. After all, Mr. Miller promised his family a good life, not this kind of stressful existence.

As for Theo, he hissed and glared at his sister, who once did everything to earn his attention and please him. Just then, he noticed the bag Patricia was swinging so casually.

"Patricia," he called, watching his sister stomp her feet as she looked back at him irritably.

"What?"

"Where did you get that bag?"

"Huh?"

Theo marched in her direction, grabbed her arm, and raised it to show the bag. "This bag, Patricia. Where did you get it?"

"Get your hands off of me!" she roared as she broke away from his grip. "Goodness. Are you out of your mind!? How dare you hurt me?!"

"That bag, Patricia..." he pointed at it again, not caring about her reaction. "Where did you get it?"

"Why do you care where I got it from? Just leave me alone!"

"Patricia! That bag cost millions, and you’ve never had one before. Don’t tell me that despite our family’s misfortune, you’re still splurging!?"

Patricia’s eyes burned as her grip on the damn bag tightened. "Splurging? Do we even have the money to splurge? You and Dad froze all my accounts! Even if I bought this, I would’ve used my own money!"

"Your own money?" Theo laughed. "Since when did you earn anything? The last time you started a business, you lost millions. You’ve never earned a dime in your life!"

"You—" Patricia’s breath hitched as a sensitive spot was poked. However, she was tired. She had been dealing with so many things since yesterday and even all night. She didn’t have the energy to banter with a good-for-nothing who was just picking on her because he couldn’t accept that he was a loser.

Her eyes fell on the bag, and something within her just fueled this rage. Ever since she had gotten a hold of it, bad things had started happening to her. It was this bag that had earned Penny’s attention, and now her brother was picking on her again because of the same bag.

What was so special about it?

"Does she think I care about my family?" she mumbled to herself, her lips curling into a smirk as an idea flashed in her mind. "Haha. That Penelope Bennet—did she think I’m dumb? Let’s see who is more dumb here."

As if forgetting her fury with her brother just minutes ago, Patricia happily skipped to the stairs. She swung the handbag to and fro until she reached her room. Patricia jumped on the bed, moaning as its softness and its nice scent wafted through her nostrils.

"Ah... I missed my bed," she grumbled, letting her body relax on it until she was reminded of what she had to do. Sitting up, she casually pulled her phone from the bag and scrolled through her contacts.

Her mouth stretched into a grin as she dialed the number of the person who had sent her the bag.

Ring... ring... and then it was picked up.

"Hey~" Patricia cooed with a giggle. "Do you also buy information?"

The person on the other end didn’t answer, but that didn’t bother her.

"If you do, let me know and send me the price. I have information about Penelope Bennet—ciao!" After saying that, Patricia ended the call and giggled.

DING!

Her brows rose in surprise when her phone chimed. Checking what it was, she saw another bank transfer to her account from the number she had just called.
