Anyone in the corporate world had heard of the Pierson Corporation and the man behind it. Even Teddy, who hadn’t been in the corporate world for long, had heard that name many times.
There were too many reasons why Zoren Pierson’s name was well-known. Beyond the achievements he had amassed since taking the helm of the Pierson Corporation, there was the intrigue surrounding his appearance. After all, while Zoren’s name was famous, few had ever seen the man himself.
And yet, here he was—seated just a few steps away.
It wasn’t as if they were unaware that the Prime Group and Pierson Corporation had been doing business together. Zoren Pierson was on the Prime Group’s long list of clients, but they hadn’t expected to meet him so soon.
"Benjamin likes making things dramatic," Zoren said, his eyes settling on the three of them. "It’s a pleasure to finally meet you."
Teddy, Hayley, and Shawn just stared at him blankly. They knew they shouldn’t be so shocked, but they couldn’t help it. This was Zoren Pierson, after all.
"But no one sees your face much!" Benjamin laughed proudly. "They’re fools if they don’t know your name!"
Zoren shook his head and looked up at the ever-unpredictable Benjamin. He was well aware that Benjamin had been acting out ever since his resignation request was denied. Yet, right now, he seemed oddly proud. Even Allen scrunched up his nose in dismay.
What a fickle man!
"You’ll be seeing these guys frequently," Penny said, watching as the three looked in her direction. "So, don’t mind them too much. You’ll get used to their antics."
"Before you get used to ours, get used to hers first," Atlas remarked. "Make sure she stays out of prison."
"Someone’s already doing that job," Penny pouted. "Anyway, the four of you are coming with us later. For now, get back to whatever you were doing. I’m done bragging."
She grinned from ear to ear, practically beaming—completely oblivious to the shock she had just inflicted.

As Teddy, Hayley, Shawn, and Patricia walked out, their faces were blank—except for Patricia. She was the first to step out, heaving a sigh of relief. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
"I thought my life was over," Patricia muttered, patting her chest before glancing back at her colleagues. Her brows lifted, then furrowed. "Are you guys okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost."
The other three slowly turned their heads toward Patricia, who seemed entirely unbothered.
"Patricia, didn’t you say you went to the same school as Miss Penny?" Hayley asked, her voice still shaky. "Then why didn’t you tell us she’s Atlas Bennet’s sister?"
Patricia blinked innocently. "I didn’t think it was important. It has nothing to do with work."
The three of them gaped at her in disbelief. She really didn’t think this was a big deal?
"If Atlas Bennet is her First Brother..." Shawn muttered, processing the revelation. "That means Slater Bennet is also her brother."
"Wow." Hayley let out a short laugh before turning to Shawn. She smirked. "I think I’m going to like this job. And for the first time, I also think I might work here long-term."
Tapping his shoulder, she added, "Don’t be a coward. Let’s get some work done before she drags us off to wherever we’re going."
With that, she walked away, leaving Shawn to sigh heavily before following.
Meanwhile, Mark, seated at his post, watched them all go.
"I don’t think they’ve realized it yet," he mumbled, glancing toward the CEO’s office. "They act like everyone already knows about their marriage."
Mark shrugged, amused. Penny and Zoren carried themselves as if their marriage was public knowledge, but in reality, only those close to them were aware of it.
Not that they had an obligation to disclose it to everyone.
Shaking his head, Mark leaned back in his chair, settling into his usual routine whenever Penny stayed in the office for the entire day. Though, he knew they’d be heading out later—with Zoren, Atlas, and maybe Yugi, if the man decided to tag along.
After all, the cyber competition had been heating up, and Penny would be spectating for the first time. Zoren and Atlas would tag along just because the Pierson Corporation was one of the sponsors, and also, one of the bidders for the security system the company would soon launch.
Those two were using their family privilege to get a glimpse of this.
"Though..." Mark trailed off, cocking his head back. "... Their family is amazing. I sort of want to visit home."
