Chapter 1472
Chapter 1472
Tail rested her head on Patrick's shoulder and wrapped her chubby arms around Patrick's neck. The two looked very close.
But Edwin found it so annoying!
"Edwin, you're out of bounds in Sapphire City. Now do you also want to cause trouble in Mourpa? Do I need to tell you in advance where I'm going?"
Patrick covered Tail's head with one hand to keep Edwin from seeing Tail's face.
"Get out of the way!" Patrick hissed to Edwin.
Edwin didn't move. "Ask Joanna to come to see me."
Their argument grew louder. Tail felt the heave in Patrick's chest and was awakened. "Ah."
She tried to rub her eyes but found she was wearing a pair of sunglasses.
She looked up and saw Edwin's face. Edwin was a bad guy to her. She immediately screamed, "Mommy, there's a child trafficker here!"
Tail wrapped her arms tighter around Patrick's neck, her arms trembling. She was so scared, as if Edwin was a beast.
Seeing that Tail was awake, Edwin wanted to say hi to her.
After spending so much time with Puffy, he liked children.
But he got angry when Tail called him a child trafficker. His face darkened, and his eyes turned cold.
"You think I'm a child trafficker?" Edwin's voice was deep, and his tone was intimidating.
As Patrick walked away, Ada gave a sweet smile. "Take care of Tail. Don't let her eat ice cream. I'll meet you guys later."
On the surface, she was asking Patrick to take care of Tail, but in reality, she was implying to Edwin that Tail was her and Patrick's daughter.
Tail buried her head in Patrick's shoulder. She was still in fear of the "child trafficker”.
Her eyes were covered by sunglasses. Everything was brown in her eyes.
"Uncle Patrick, is that man a child trafficker? He's so handsome." Tail snapped back to reality. She took off her sunglasses and thought of Edwin's face.
"Did you forget what your mommy and Auntie Ada had told you?" Patrick said in a low voice.
Tail squeezed her tender fists and said in a childish voice," No. Mommy's always right."
'But why did the child trafficker come to our house? He's got a lot of nerve!'
