"Wow!" I clapped my hands, laughing sarcastically.

"See? I was right! You really had a crush on me!" He said proudly with also a proud expression.

"Hey, there, can you put down your ego for a second? And may I ask you, are you sure you are a businessman? Because you know what, you really had a creative imagination, so I thought you were a writer or a movie director instead of the CEO of your company!" My lips curled into a snarl. "And before I forget, I want you to bear this in your creative yet nasty mind that even if you're the last man on earth, I would never---ever have a crush on you!"

"Ohh... really, huh?"

"Yes, so get fucking out of my---"

But I was interrupted by the thin voice that comes from the parking lot and we both turned our heads to the woman who screamed...

"Babe!"

"--- way," I uttered unconsciously. It was supposedly the end of my explanatory sentence.

"Babe!"

I couldn't help but raised an eyebrow when the petite woman screamed again as she looked at Dale and smiled in a seductive way. Her hips were dancing... take note... just her hips, because she was kinda--- 'flat-chested'?

"Shit!"

I chuckled as I heard him mumble with a mixture of annoyance and a bit disgust and his reason?--- I don't know.

Because at that time, the subconscious level of my brain was so proud because I found that what he was saying earlier was not true. My vital statistics are 36 - 28 - 36, so that means my boobs are not small compared to the woman who had just called him 'Babe'.

"Ahh..." I mumbled, nodding and he looked to me. "Yeah, there is, but..."

I paused and looked proudly at my cleavage then at the woman who was just a few meters away from us.

"... just a little." and I laughed... literally laughed. "So, I guess I have to go because you still have 'a very important meeting'." I mimicked what he said earlier. "Bye."

"Jackeline, wait!" He called when I started taking steps.

And since I've already forgotten the first and last time he called me by my name, I admit I was surprised. I slowly turned to him with my mouth hung open in mid-air.

"Babe, what happened to you? Why your clothes are wet?"

-'So is it just the reason why he suddenly called me by my name, to get my attention and to show me how his flat-chested girlfriend touch him?'-

"Oh, who is she, Babe?" The woman asked him but her eyes were not on him, but on me.

I can feel she was jealous based on the looks she gave me. She scrutinizing my looks from head to toe before giving me a fake smile... as fake as her nose.

"Anyway, I'm Camille, Dale's girlfriend!" She underlined the last word.

"Hi, I'm Nova," I said, copying her fake smile.

Dale raised an eyebrow, but deep in my head, I really wanted to add my sentence with...

-'I'm Nova--- Nobody asks who you are and I don't give a damn, bitch!'-

And to add her annoyance, I flipped my hair on the back of my shoulder and flaunted my chest out to show more of my cleavage, which she knew she didn't have.

And her expression changed... she seemed like a tiger ready to attack me.

"Uhm, anyway, I'm going back to the restaurant. I suddenly felt hungry." I was about to take a step but the bitch in me kicked in. "And if you want to know more about me, you can just ask your boyfriend, right Dale?"

I uttered his name with a flirtatious smile and I didn't know what I was thinking as I winked at him.

And because I immediately turned my attention to his girlfriend, I missed how the expression on his face had changed. My only focus was with Camille whose nose was smoking at the moment.

"Bye."

I even swayed my hips on my back to the restaurant.

-'Haha... serves you right, giant jerk!'-

I know that what she's going through at the moment has been difficult. She's stuck between what she feels and what she knows is right and I wish I could help her with that. To me, she's more than just a friend or a best friend, she's my sister. A sister that I wished to have because I'm the only child of my mom and dad. My mom is still single until now and I'm sure my dad won't have another child anymore... (If you're confused, well, because he is a 'gay')

"So what are you going to do now?"

"Uhm... I guess I will start doing the things I should have done four years ago."

"And that is?"

She didn't answer my question, instead, she just gave a smile... a smile that completely resembled her jerk of a brother.

"Hey, should I be afraid of the things that running on your mind, huh?"

"Nope, this is far from that."

"Really?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Yup." She nodded. "I think we should go."

"Okay, but where are we going?"

"To the mall. Let's go shopping and buy a perfect dress for tonight!" She stood up, so I have no choice but to also get up.

"But why do we need to buy a dress? And not to mention, a perfect dress? Is there any occasion to celebrate for tonight other than being broken-hearted?"

I bit my lip and smiled at her as I showed my two fingers as a sign of peace.

"Well, that's exactly what I'm going to celebrate, being a broken-hearted."

"Whoa! I was just kidding, you know."

"Nope, you're right! And while choosing our dress, I will also share my plans for tonight."

"Ohh... okay," I said nodding as we walked towards the exit.

I'm still confused about the things she's going to do tonight, but if this all she needs to ease the pain for the meantime, then I'll support her.
