Johnathan got along fine with everyone–except White. The two of them were like mortal enemies, and no one really knew how it even started.
They didn’t exchange many words before jumping straight into a drinking contest.
They went straight for the hard stuff, downing shot after shot, making Sierra’s eyelid twitch just watching them.
She didn’t know what Johnathan’s alcohol tolerance was, but this was starting to look scary.
She wanted to stop them, but neither Johnathan nor White was the type to back down.
So the rest of them just sat there watching the two of them go at it. Autumn leaned in and whispered to Sierra.
“If they keep drinking like this, isn’t something bad gonna happen?”
Each of them had already finished more than a bottle–that meant over a full liter each.
Professor Martin was starting to seriously regret things. Sure enough, wherever Johnathan showed up, there was never peace. He always had to stir something up.
“Stop drinking, Professor,” Sierra said quietly to Johnathan, only to have him pat her hand in response.
She looked at him for a while and saw that his face was just a bit flushed, but his eyes were still sharp clear. That finally put her at ease.

The drinking battle ended with White collapsing to the floor. The two of them had each drunk more than two liters.
Looking at White, totally knocked out and dead drunk on the floor, Professor Martin clutched his head and hurriedly told Azure and the others to get him to the hospital.
Alcohol poisoning wasn’t something to take lightly. This could turn serious fast.
Seeing the new year was just around the corner, and Johnathan was still finding ways to make trouble, Professor Martin couldn’t hold back and snapped.
“Can’t you behave for once?”
Johnathan put on an innocent look.
“Professor, that’s not fair! He’s the one who challenged me to a drinking contest.”
It was true–White had been the one to initiate the whole thing.
Professor Martin remembered that and had nothing to say in response, but he still felt frustrated. He grumbled unhappily.
“You couldn’t have just backed off a little? He’s a guest from another country, after all.”

“What guest? What if he’s a spy?”
“You-!”

Professor Martin was fuming. He didn’t even want to argue anymore and just waved for Sierra to take Johnathan and leave.
This little bastard really knew how to get under people’s skin.
Sierra had a headache herself and quickly led Johnathan out of there.
She’d had a little to drink too. She was planning to call a driver, but one of the bodyguards stepped up and said he could drive for them.
That’s when Sierra remembered she still had bodyguards following her around. Nothing had happened lately, so she’d completely forgotten they were even there.
“Should we stop by the hospital?”
Sierra asked.
“No need. I’m not drunk,” Johnathan replied.
He was a little tipsy, but nowhere near passing out.
“Really?”
Sierra didn’t quite believe him. That was more than two liters of strong liquor.
“Really,” Johnathan said with a laugh. “I’ve drunk even more than that before.”
That really wasn’t enough to take him down. White, on the other hand, was probably in bad shape.
Too bad he hadn’t managed to drink him under the table.
There was definitely a bit of cruelty in Johnathan–and it came out full force when he’d been drinking. Seeing Sierra look so worried about him warmed his heart. He couldn’t help but lean over and kiss her. Sierra hadn’t expected him to be so bold. There were people in the car with them.
The bodyguard driving was quick to pick up on things and raised the privacy divider, which only made Johnathan more reckless.
The alcohol was definitely affecting/him–he couldn’t hold back. Sierra kept shoving at him, signaling him to knock it off.
