He’d set up a small security mechanism by the door–something even Sierra didn’t know about. Just now, he’d spotted a slight disturbance. That was all it took.

If it had just been him, maybe he wouldn’t have cared. But with Sierra there–he wasn’t willing to gamble.

It was a while before Mateo and Stone returned from checking the apartment. Their expressions were grim. Mateo opened his hands, revealing the problem. “There were several hidden cameras installed.”

Mateo was visibly. rattled, his pride bruised. “I’m locking myself in the lab tomorrow. I will make something better.”

But Stone brought them back to the point. “Now’s not the time. What’s the plan?”

This place was clearly compromised. Even Stone felt uncomfortable staying there now.

“We’ll move to Garden Compound,” Johnathan decided.

It was one of his other propertjes, famous for its security–one of the best in Capital City.

Stone and Mateo personally escorted Johnathan and Sierra there. After a full sweep and clearing the premises, they left the two alone.

Before departing, Stone promised to start tracing the intrusion. But everyone knew the odds of finding anything were slim.

“Scared?” Johnathan asked.
