Chapter 273
Yorick
With the addition of a second pack, I feel even stronger than I did before. The buzzing in my mind, the connection to our pack member is also stronger. I hope that feeling of connection will continue to improve and strengthen as our pack gets stronger. I’ll be interested to call how I feel tomorrow after our gathering tonight.
Because I have more strength, I enjoyed my mate before we fell asleep last night and then woke her up again this morning to have her again. It’s the best possible way to start and end my day.
After another fun morning of warrior training, we sat down for breakfast. We talked about tonight and decided to send Beta Lewis and Gamma Elliot from this pack, and Gamma Hugo from the other pack to find and start preparing a space for tonight’s event. Cyra and I agreed that while we’d like Beta Eric to also be a part of that, we need him to be in the other pack making sure the pack members there don’t have any problems with all the changes happening.
We had just finished finalizing those plans, when I got a
an
alert from the gate guard that the Council and a group of enforcers had arrived.
“Why would the Council send enforcers? We notified them. It’s not like we’re being secretive,” I say, standing up to go greet them.
“I don’t know, but we’re going to find out,” Cyra says, standing beside me.
We walk to the front of the packhouse with my parents following closely behind.
“Oh, before I forget, Yana, Yvonne, and Wade are coming this weekend. Since we’ll now be splitting our time between three packs, they wanted to decide on their rooms here. If you have any suggestions for which rooms you’d like them to have, please let us know before they arrive,” my mother says.
“Any rooms are fine,” Cyra says at the same time that I say, “As far away from our room as possible.”
My mate grins at me. “They won’t be here all the time.”
“You have no idea how loud it gets with them.”
“Hopefully, your father and I can afford to build a house here like we have on the other pack lands, if that’s okay with the two of you,” she
says.
“I think that’s a wonderful idea. Dad, you should tell Connor that his gift to us could be sending warriors to help build your house. That would make him feel better about whatever gift he feels he needs to give us.”
“That’s a good idea. I’ll let him know,” he says, just as four black, windowless vans pull up to the front of the packhouse.
Councilwoman Leslie gets out of one of the vans and nods at us, “Alpha Yorick, Alpha Cyra, I didn’t expect to see you both again so soon,” she says. Councilman Edward also steps out of the van.
“I’m surprised that you’ve brought such a large group with you today. Are you worried we won’t cooperate with you?” Lask, stepping down the stairs to greet them.
“On the contrary, this is the Gamma Team. As you know, we have three elite fighting teams. This one is the one we consider our team for ‘domestic disturbances‘. They are the quick in and out team, if you will. While Alpha and Beta Teams can go under cover, or deep into the shady underworlds of our existence, this team handles things such as this. With all of us here, we’ll be sure to finis
day and be out of
your hair. Oh, and I’ve brought the paperwork that you’ll need to file indicating that you have officially taken over these two packs,” Councilwoman Leslie says. Cyra takes the paperwork from her.
“Good morning, Alphas. My name is Saber. I’m the leader of the Gamma Team or as we like to call ourselves, the C–Squad.”

“It’s nice to meet you,” I say shaking her hand. Cyra does as well.
“You’re both at the Academy, correct?” she asks.
“That’s correct.”
“Tassume now that the two of you have taken over this and the next pack that you won’t be continuing after this year?” she aske
I look at Cyra, who smiles. “I won’t be, but Yorick is still very interested in a place on one of the elite squads.”
Saber turns her attention back to me. “Is that so?”
“Yes. While I’m happy to take my place here as Cyra’s co–Alpha, my calling is to become an elite warrior, like all of you, and serve the Council
“You should consider C–Squad then. I’m Nix,” another woman says walking up.
“Why is that?” I ask, shaking her hand.
“As Councilwoman Leslie said, we handle more of the domestic disputes. It’s very rare that I don’t get to go home to my pups at night. Many of us have rotated off and on this squad because it allows us the ability to continue having families and being a part of their lives. Lace is leaving Alpha Team to have a baby, but I expect in the next year, she’ll reach out to see about joining this squad.” Saber says.
“Yep, and I’m going out at the end of this year to have a baby, but I plan to return once my little nugget is weaned,” Nix says.
“So, we’ll have an opening at the end of the school year,” Saber says, holding my gaze.
I growl low. “I want it.”
She smiles. “Good. Why don’t you show us around today, meet the squad and get to know everyone. If I’m not mistaken, Raptor and Steel already gave you a codename.”
I realize that she knew before she arrived that she was interested in me joining her group. She’s already been doing research on me.
“That’s correct. I’m Striker.”
“You already have a codename? Nice!” another warrior says, walking up and holding out his hand. “I’m Viper. Don’t screw up this year. The team already likes what we’ve heard about you.”
“I don’t intend to,” I say, getting excited about the possibility of joining this squad. It would be perfect. I could be at home every night, spending time with Cyra, our pups, and the pack.
“Why don’t you show us to your pack hospital, Alpha Yorick. You can join us in our investigation and get a feel for how this squad works,” Councilman Edward says.
“It would be my honor,” I say, then hear my father clear his throat.
“Oh, sorry, I’m so excited to meet all of you. Let me introduce you to my mother, Luna Yara Hill. She’s the one who helped us realize the problem with the placebo implants.”
“Dr. Yara, it is an honor to meet such a prestigious and esteemed doctor in our community,” Councilman Edward says, his tone turning from
amused to awed in a second.
“You’re so kind. It’s nice to meet you as well. Have all of you had breakfast?” she asks.
When everyone nods that they have, gesture toward the pack hospital. “If you’ll follow me…”

“Yorick, let me know if you need anything.” Cyra says, stepping up to stand beside my father while my mother continues ki delmi me members.
Once I’ve introduced the team to Dr. Walker and he and my mother explain what they found, the C–Squad divides up, interviewing cadern members of the pack and beginning to dig into the makers of the implant, the distributors, and the delivery people
Saber lets me sit with her while she researches, calling Tracker to ask her to find the trails she’s looking for.
She hands me the data for the company that makes the implant, telling me to research what I can and let her know what I find. I excitedly begin digging, finding no connections to anyone at the company and Stellari.
Saber has just told me that she hasn’t found anything with the distributors when she gets a call.
“Give me some good news, Tracker.”
“I tracked your delivery truck. Thankfully, all trucks with that company have GPS tracking devices on them, so it was fairly simple. On that day, this particular driver went out of his way, just a few miles,” she says.
Saber looks at me and I can see the gleam of excitement in her eyes. She’s been on the hunt and now she’s caught the scent of her prey, Heel
the excitement too.
“A few miles in which direction?” she asks.
“Towards the pack previously run by Alpha Christer, now lead by Alphas Yorick and Cyra.”
“Send it to me,” Saber growls.
“Already in your inbox.”
“You’re the best, Tracker!” Saber says.
“So Raptor tells me,” she says, making Saber laugh before hanging up.
She pulls up the email, showing me the file. “We’ve got him,” she growls.
A moment later, she gets an email from Hacker. It’s all there. The driver, a Marcus Steward, was friends with Alpha Stellan in school. There’s a record of a phone call from Stellan to Marcus two weeks before Cyra went to the Academy.
“Son of a bitch,” I say. “We’ve got him.”
“Yeah we do. And now we can add to the growing number of offenses that Stellan will face at trial.”
She gets an email from Tracker with a live feed on where Marcus Steward is.
“Time to pick him up,” she says, closing her laptop. “We’ll send you a final report and Alpha Cyra is already on the docket to attend both trials. But on a side note, what do you think of the work we do here in C–Squad?”
“I love it. I want that spot,” I say seriously.
“Good. We work well together. I’ll talk to Steel and let him know C–Squad is interested in you.”
“Thank you!” I say, shaking her hand as we walk out.
We walk out of the room we’ve been working in and Saber approaches the council members who have been watching the interviews and talking to my mother about her future teaching plans.

“Well?” Councilman Edward asks.
“We have our target. Tracker has him in her sights. Time to execute,” she tells him.
“That’s what I like to hear. We’ll meet you back at the council chambers once you
i have your target in custody
“C–Squad! We’re moving out. Target has been identified,” Saber announces loudly.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Pack's Doctor
I'm so excited!!! Yorrick's story is finally being written (i had already lost hope on this) - thank you!!! It's really statisfying to read all those hints about who will be mated together. And it's nice that Yorric's story includes not only him, but also Wendy. I'm being kept on edge how Henry's story will roll out. *about gibberish parts: yeah, there are quite a few, but come on, it's not like we pay for the service to have the right to require good quality! I'm just happy i'm able to read what i like!...
157 is all gibberish as well. I can't undeestand anything about the famiky leaving, & what her mom is saying about the work sge needs to do in her relashionship.. the auther seriously needs to rewrite or edit all these errors....
The beginning of Chapter 156 is all gibberish.. wth??!!?? Why does this happen all the time 🫤...
Great story but im at chapter 137 & there's a lot of parts where the words are all scrambled leaving the reader to have to try and desipher what is being said. That kind of disrupts the flow .....
It's my favorite book of all the books about warewolves that I've read! I come back to reread it again and again, after finishing another not so enthralling story from another author. I will soon know this story by heart, but it's still way more pleasureable to read than all the rest :)...
