Mated to Two Bad Boy Alphas (Lia zane Blake) novel Chapter 210

Chapter 210 Meal

–CAITLYN’S POV–

20 min left

Blake returned to my room with a new tray of food after about two hours.

Maybe he was giving me time to starve so I’d be more cooperative when he’d come back.

Unfortunately, it worked.

I was famished.

Still, I looked away from him, my knees pulled to my chest as I sat with my back against the headboard.

Blake walked closer, and then sat down a safe distance away from me, placing the tray beside him.

Don’t you have plans, Caitlyn?he asked, making me raise a brow. I glanced at him. To overthrow werewolves? Kill them all? I don’t think you can do that if you die in here.

I gulped, rolling my eyes and looking away again.

Blake sighed.

Please, sweetheart, don’t make me force you to eat.

I’m not your sweetheart,I snapped. My name is Caitlyn.

Are you going to eat or do I have to tie you to a chair for it?he asked.

I glared at him. I dare you to try.

Blake’s eyes turned black, and he stood up, instantly making me regret it.

Wait, wait!I yelled, standing up on the bed and backing into the corner. Okay,I raised my hands. I’m eating. I’m eating, youyou don’t have to do that.

He stared at me a moment, his jaw clenched.

Then his eyes turned green again, and I allowed myself to relax a

bit.

My heart continued to thunder wildly in my chest.

Sit down,he ordered, gesturing to the edge of the bed with his

eyes.

I carefully stepped forward, and obliged, sitting down beside the tray of food.

Blake returned to his spot on the bed, crossing his arms as he watched me. Start.

My jaw clenched.

I wasn’t his stupid dog.

But I was hungry. Very hungry. I had to keep my strength.

I picked up the tray and placed it in my lap, staring down at the food. It smelled delicious. There was steak, with sauteed vegetables and mashed potatoes. A meal I hadn’t had in years.

It’s not poisoned,Blake commented. If you’d like, I can taste test it for you.

I didn’t look at him.

Is it roofied, though?I asked softly. I know you’re not gonna kill me. But you could do what you did to Lia. So if that’s the only reason you want me to eat, I’d rather you bonk me in the head and do it.

It’s regular food, Caitlyn,he replied. Better than regular. My pack’s chef is amazing.

I rolled my eyes.

Privileged ass.

He probably grew up eating meals like this every day. With servants bringing him everything he wanted on silver platters. He was an Alpha, after all. They had everything they ever

wanted. Because they were robbers. Of money, of homes, of people and even of happiness.

Cutting through the steak, I placed a piece in my mouth, and had to clench my jaw to prevent myself from making a sound.

God.

That was delicious.

It definitely felt like he was trying to win me over with food. Distract me through my taste buds.

Blake frowned. What’s wrong?he asked, scooting closer to me. Your heart is racing.

I shuffled away from him, silently chewing the bite as the flavours danced on my tongue. I didn’t offer him a response because he didn’t deserve one. And I didn’t want to waste time talking. I had to eat.

I took the next bite, and then the next, and thankfully, Blake did not speak to me again.

He simply sat there staring, watching my every move as I finished my meal. His gaze was intense, like he was memorising how I chewed or breathed. It made my skin crawl, but I forced myself to ignore it. If I looked up, I would lose my nerve. And I wanted to enjoy this meal.

After all, it could be my last.

When there were only a couple of bites left, I reminded myself of what I had to do. Waiting until the last bite could ruin the chance. The chance I wouldn’t have again in God knew how long.

My hands twitched as I cut the steak, fingers tightening on the knife handle every few seconds. It was clearly sharp, if the ease with which I could cut the meat was any proof.

I kept my breath steady, calculating the angle, the reach. One good shotone second of distraction, and I’d be out. At least out of this room. The rest, I could figure out later. But for now, just getting out of this wallless room was necessary. I was going to suffocate in here.

In a swift move, I whipped my hand across, the steak knife clutched between my fingers, slashing his neck.

Blake growled as blood sprayed from his throat, and without wasting a second, I bolted towards the door.

But I guess I got too excited seeing the steak and the knife.

I didn’t realise the door could be automatically locked after he stepped in.

And that was exactly what happened.
