Chapter 47
Jensina could guess why Coleman wanted her to go back to the old house, but she wasn’t sure about Estella’s.
But when I got to the old house and saw several rich young ladies standing next to Estella, I quickly understood.
Today’s party was supposed to be Eliza’s birthday, but actually it was Coleman’s blind date.
Estella also just took today as a chance to vent the anger from last time when she asked for way too much.
Just wanted to tell her, after leaving her, Coleman could get someone better anytime.
This marriage was something she married up for.
“Coleman, you came.”
Seeing Jensina and Coleman walking over together, Estella glanced at her hand on her son, a flash of displeasure in her eyes, but she still looked as kind as usual.“Sina, Grandma was just talking about you. Go see her first.”
“Okay.”
Jensina didn’t want to be a third wheel here either, so she agreed sensibly.
Coleman, “I went with you.”
*Coleman, wait a bit before you go.”
Estella stopped him and said in her usual tone, “Today, Mr. Elliott and Mr. Jackson’s daughters both came to celebrate Grandma’s birthday. Go entertain them in the tea room and let them try some tea. Don’t neglect them.”
Coleman frowned and didn’t want to embarrass his mom in public, so he just said, “Got it.”
Even though she had to come today, Jensina still wanted to sincerely wish Eliza a happy birthday.
She looked around the hall and then found out that Eliza was upstairs in the small sitting room, catching up with her old friends, so she decided to get something to eat first.
Just as she walked up to the buffet table, a hand reached from behind and pinched her waist like nobody was around!
Jensina instantly got goosebumps. When she turned around and saw who it was, her face fell and she lowered her voice, “Wilfred, are you crazy? Do you even know where we are?”
the Hardwick’s mansion.
Her official in–laws.
Wilfred looked playful and glanced toward the tea room, smirking knowingly, “Don’t think I can’t tell what ‘the Hardwick family‘ means. They obviously already wanted to replace you.”
Jensina was a little surprised.
He actually figured it out with that pig brain of his.
Estella was dead set on embarrassing her today.
As long as Coleman had his eye on someone right now, Estella would probably announce their divorce tonight.
Jensina slowly clenched her palm, and then Wilfred suddenly leaned in close to her, grinning shamelessly, “At a time like this, even if I did you right here today, they wouldn’t offend the Herring family for you.”
He looked pissed off, “Do you believe it?”
Jensina.just felt a chill run down her spine.
She believed
Everyone here tonight was a political or business big shot, not to mention that the Hardwick family wouldn’t offend the Herring family for

her.
I was just afraid they’d keep it all covered up so no one would find out and embarrass themselves.
Wilfred played with her, so what.
Menu
Wilfred had the Herring family backing him, but her? Now, she didn’t even need to do anything–if Wilfred was enough of a jerk, she’d be done for.
It was the first time Wilfred saw fear on her face. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the hall.
“Wilfred, let go!”
Jensina was so afraid of drawing attention that she didn’t even dare to struggle much.
“You try moving again!”
Wilfred dragged her out of the hall, pushed her against the backyard wall, smirked, and said, “Jensina, you know I’ve wanted you for a long time.”
His eyes landed on Jensina and swept over her.
Even though he had Stanley, his cousin, over his head, as the second son of the Herring family, he’d seen all kinds of sexy, beautiful women. During those years abroad, he’d had plenty of fun with foreign girls.
There were girls who fit the pure school beauty type, but compared to Jensina, they just didn’t quite measure up.
Today she wore a dark green little dress. The cut was simple. Among all the rich girls here today, it really didn’t stand out, even looked kind of plain.
But her figure and that face were really attractive.
He licked his teeth, “Your waist and butt must feel really good to touch.”
“You can touch it.”
Jensina suddenly relaxed, leaning loosely against the wall with a slight smile on her lips.“Guess what, if Stanley found out, would he chop off your left hand or your right hand?”
Wilfred’s fear of Stanley was something he was born with.
As soon as Stanley was mentioned, he flinched instinctively.
Then he finally spoke in a careless way, “You think I’m stupid? Ever since that last family dinner, you and him haven’t really had any contact in private, right?”
He actually knew everything.
But then again, it made sense. Even if he didn’t trust them much, they were still the Herring family, so they probably knew something.
Jensina’s fingertips unconsciously pressed into her palm, but she was still smiling. “If I didn’t have it, how could I have gotten into the Herring Group’s project?”
That cancer research project, Wilfred had kind of heard about it.
But he had been bluffed by Jensina too many times, so of course he didn’t believe it that easily.“It’s just a coincidence. The group had so many projects, he didn’t have time to deal with every little thing. It was normal to have one or two people trying to get away with stuff.*
“But I was just a useless nobody who wasn’t good at anything.”
Jensina just lay there and let them tease her, “If it wasn’t for his instructions, how could I have gotten in?”
At this, Wilfred did hesitate.
The only highlight in Jensina’s life was when she did really well and got into UCLA. After that, for years, she just faded into the background and drifted along at some clinic.
By rights, with her education or experience, she just couldn’t get into such an important project.
