Fergus
~~
When Fergus stepped out to follow Kylo, he was careful not to attract any attention. Luckily, it was evening and the pack was rowdy.
It seemed everyone had started coming out more after the wolves started taking the fight to the vampires surrounding their territory.
The pack civilians had started getting comfortable, eh? Hmph... Well, not for long.
Fergus watched from the shadows as Kylo sniffed into the air. He seemed to be following a scent. Was he tracking someone?
"Hehe... Seems I underestimated his dark tendencies." He sniggered to himself as he blended into a crowd of civilians walking about their daily lives.
Just when he thought things were going to get interesting, however, Kylo paused in the middle of the sidewalk. He seemed to be in thought about something, causing Fergus to involuntarily tense up.
Had the runt figured out that he was being followed?
Fergus quickly slid into an alleyway, undetected by anyone. He skillfully hid in the shadows, as he used his superior vampire hearing to follow Kylo’s movements.
The runt waited at that point for a few seconds more before taking some steps toward somewhere across the road. Fergus used his hearing to track his footsteps until he heard a door opening.
It was safe for him to come out now.
He stepped out of the darkness and darted toward the spot where he last saw Kylo. From there, he was able to easily spot him inside a coffee shop across the road.
He squinted his eyes as he watched the Gamma’s son ordering a coffee. But things seemed to get more interesting when Fergus noticed someone familiar walking toward the coffee shop.
"Well, well, well... If it isn’t ’Dew’?" He sniggered as his gaze lingered on Kylo’s new little fairy crush.
She stepped into the shop and it didn’t take long for a typical fairytale romance to unfold before Fergus’s eyes. He blinked in surprise as he watched the two of them chatting about so much stuff that he found irrelevant.
Kylo had opened up more to this new girl within thirty minutes than he’d ever opened up to him in the weeks he’s known him while he’s disguised as ’Cullen’.
If he wasn’t mistaken, this wasn’t any normal ’crush’. Dew was Kylo’s mate!
It all made sense now.
"No..." He muttered to himself as he watched the two standing up to head outside. "She’ll ruin everything I’ve planned. She’ll make him soft."
He walked backward as he avoided being spotted by the pair from where he stood across the road. They waltzed outside, giggling like teenagers as they talked on and on about meaningless things.
Fergus gritted his teeth as he followed stealthily behind them. He watched intently as they finally reached their destination. A hotel.
The time was already past 11, some minutes away from midnight. The pack wasn’t as lively as it was in the earlier hours of the evening and only a few civilians were walking here and there.
However, Fergus also noticed a few pack soldiers, patrolling the pack cautiously. There hadn’t been any vampire attacks in a while, but it seemed they weren’t taking any chances.
"Hmph, wise decision. Too bad it wouldn’t mean much tonight." He sniggered coldly to himself as he waltzed past the pack soldiers with his vamp speed.
They didn’t notice a thing, thinking of it as the wind. Fools.
Fergus finally reached his destination. It was the hotel that Kylo had dropped Dew off at. He actually knew this hotel a little too well.
This was the same hotel Isleen and Gamma Rhett had gone into that fateful night to consummate their ’union’ while she was under the influence of an aphrodisiac.
Fergus had watched the two idiots going at it with a disappointing finish from Gamma Rhett. Ahh... Good times.
Anyway, Fergus looked around to make sure no one was watching before scaling the hotel walls. He got up and entered an open window. The occupant of the room was a young wolf woman. She was fast asleep and looked rather enticing under the darkness with her full lips.
Fergus controlled his urges. That wasn’t his mission here.
Dew was apparently a worker in this hotel. Time to pay her a quick... Visit.
