Manuela’s POV
I left college with PH by my side - he really hadn't left me alone for a moment. When we got outside, Flavian was already waiting for me beside his car.
"Hey, little one! I missed you." He pulled me into a hug. "Good evening, Peter Hank."
"Good evening, detective." PH replied somewhat awkwardly.
"Man, just call me Flavian. Sorry about that day, but I think you can understand why." Flavian was apologizing to my friend for how rudely he had treated him when they first met, and I found that sweet.
"Don't worry about it, Flavian, I understand. And you're right to be jealous - Manu is truly beautiful and very special." PH smiled at me. "Manu, I'll wait for you here at the entrance tomorrow." We said goodbye to my friend and got in the car.
"Little one, what happened?" Flavian asked as soon as he started the car.
"Calvin showed up here." I said, still processing that visit.
"Who?" Flavian looked confused.
"Calvin, the father of the fiancé my mother arranged for me." I explained. "He showed up at college today to talk to me."
"But what did this guy want?" Flavian was getting upset.
"I don't understand. He said he made a deal with my mother..." I told Flavian everything Calvin had said to me and how uncomfortable I felt with the way he looked at me. "It was very strange, Flavian."
"Manu, calm down! He won't do anything to you, I promise. I'll talk to Cam, maybe he can find out something." Flavian held my hand during the entire drive home, and gradually his touch calmed me down.
"Little one, sorry for bringing my sister without telling you, but she's also running away from an arranged marriage." Flavian said when we got in the elevator.
"You don't have to apologize for that, big guy. I think the two of us will get along very well." I smiled at him. "At least your mother is more civilized than mine and didn't hit her." I lamented my luck, as my mother seemed to enjoy hitting me.
"Oh, love, don't think about that." He hugged me and kissed the corner of my mouth. "You know what I just remembered?"
What?" I saw a smile forming on his face.
"That you owe me some action in the elevator," he whispered in my ear, and my body instantly responded to him.
"You're such a pervert!" I laughed.
"Only for you, little one, only for you!" He kissed behind my ear and then sucked on its tip, making me feel the effect between my legs.
"I highly doubt it. He might even prevent Alexander from giving me the job." She really seemed to dislike him. "But I prefer to avoid running into him as much as possible."
"But if you work at the company, that might be difficult," I commented.
"Not at all, that place is huge. He won't even know I'm there." She had a point.
"Have you sent your resume to Rick yet?"
"Yes, I have. It would be great to get a job there. Group Miller is incredible and will give me many opportunities." Lexie was really excited about everything.
She told me a lot about herself, her professional background, how her father wouldn't let her work in the family business, and how frustrating that was. I told her about moving to a big city and making my own way, told her about my mother, and we both complained about our mothers wanting to force us into marriage. It was easy to like her - she was outgoing and lively, very positive and cheerful. She would make great company.
"Girls, it's getting late," Flavian joined us in the living room. "Shall we go to bed, little one?"
"Hey, are you already trying to steal my friend?" Lexie protested.
"My girlfriend!" Flavian declared to her, as if claiming ownership of me, then turned to me with a smile. "I need her to sleep."
We said goodbye to Lexie and went to the bedroom, but Flavian wasn't thinking about sleeping. He undressed me and took me to bed, kissed me, kissed every part of my body, let his hands play with me, and made love to me for most of the night.
