After hearing Olivia's scream, Shannon doubled back upstairs. When she saw Albany, seething and cloaked in swirling black smoke after being smacked by the talisman, she sighed and extended a hand.

"Come over here, Albie."

She realized it was her own fault for not explaining things clearly to Olivia.

Until then, only she and Benjamin could communicate with Albany. No one else knew that the flying turtle could not only understand human speech but also talk back.

For Olivia, this was a first—and clearly a shocking one.

Still fuming, Albany huffed and floated over in his usual dramatic smoke-cloud, then flopped onto Shannon's back like a grumpy backpack.
