Chapter 383
However, Glen’s presence didn’t seem like he intended to join in or deliberately sabotage anything.
He looked at Maggie with a familiar tone and said, “Going out to eat with Mr. Becker?”
Maggie: “Yes.”
“You’ll be back later, right?”
“Yes.”
She still had some matters to handle and needed to return afterward.
Glen nodded. “Alright, then I’ll come find you later.”
After saying this, he didn’t say more. He glanced at Harry and then turned to leave.
Harry knew that Glen was actually provoking him.
He was basically telling Harry: “You had to work so hard just to get Maggie out yet I know so much about her and have plenty of chances to spend time with her. I don’t even bother with petty tricks to stop you from developing things with Maggie.”
Faced with Glen’s provocation, Harry neither got angry nor anxious.
At this point, whether it was with him or Glen, Maggie simply didn’t have that kind of interest yet.
So the difference between Harry and Glen was really negligible.
In fact, if given a choice, Harry would rather Maggie develop feelings for either him or Glen–even if it wasn’t for him personally…
Harry had told Maggie before about Daisy being taken back by her grandmother recently.
Remembering it had been a while since he heard about Daisy, once they arrived at the restaurant, Maggie couldn’t help but ask, “How is Daisy doing
now?”
Hearing her ask about Daisy warmed Harry’s heart, and he said, “She’s doing well. She called a few days ago and said she misses you, wants to come back and play with you.”
Maggie smiled, “That’s good.”
After mentioning Daisy, Harry hesitated for half a second before saying, “I heard Isabella’s training went pretty well too. She’s likely to win an award in the next competition.”
Maggie nodded softly when hearing about Isabella, but before she could say more, the door to the private room suddenly opened.
“Harry!”
Hearing the voice, Harry’s expression immediately darkened.
Maggie, however, remained composed without a hint of disturbance.
Sophia pushed the door open and, seeing Maggie there, her eyes widened. “What are you doing here?”
Maggie didn’t plan to respond.
Harry looked at Sophia coldly and asked, “What are you doing coming in here?
Although Harry had always been cold toward her, this was the first time he showed such blunt and undisguised indifference.

Sophia was stunned by Harry’s harshness, stäminering, “I, I…”
“Sophia, that’s rude.” Lin Laotai and Sun Laotal approached at that moment.
They were surprised to see Maggie as well but knew Harry and Cole still maintained good cooperation. So seeing Harry having dinner alone with Maggie didn’t raise suspicion.
