The way these people treated Louis was far more than just respectful–he was practically being waited on like royalty. For the first time, Freya experienced what it was like to receive actual VIP treatment, and at a real estate development this packed with buyers, no less.

They were taken straight to a private VIP lounge, which was lavishly decorated. The tea served was the kind that screamed expensive the moment the aroma hit you–so much so that even someone like Freya, who didn’t know the first thing about tea, could tell this stuff wasn’t cheap.

“We’re just here to look at a few houses. Isn’t this a little much? Do you know the owner?” Freya asked nervously. This really didn’t look like a situation where they were strangers. And if Louis did know the owner, and she ended up buying a unit under these conditions, wouldn’t that mean she’d owe him a bigger share if they ever divided property?

“This is a project Fourth started to shut the family up. He won’t be touching real estate again. Pick whichever unit you want. Just pay the regular price.” Louis said it lightly, like it wasn’t even worth discussing.

Oh, so it was a family business. No wonder they were getting the VIP treatment. Still, Freya felt a little uncomfortable.

“Even if Mr. Samuel was the one who developed it, it still feels kind of like we’re taking advantage. Isn’t this a bit too much?” she asked.

If Louis were buying the house, she wouldn’t care. But this property was going to be under her name, and using connections like this made her feel weird. Especially since Samuel clearly didn’t like her–she still remembered the way he’d coldly sized her up the last time they met.

Freya couldn’t help asking, “Isn’t it more common to sell the units first and then start building? Why did Mr. Samuel build first and sell later?

“Because I told him that as long as the construction was solid, the houses would sell themselves. Plus, property prices would keep climbing. The longer he waits to sell, the more money he’ll make.” Louis replied while stepping into the elevator, moving slightly aside to make room for her.

“I see.” Of course–Louis had once been heavily involved in real estate. Unlike her, a pseudo–expert armed with knowledge from a transmigrated brain, Louis had real–world experience. His insight came from actual skill. And it was dead–on.

“In that case, Mr. Samuel’s going to earn a fortune. With that crowd outside, these units won’t stay unsold for long.” Freya glanced around again. She knew property prices were going to rise even more, so she added, “But if he holds off a bit longer, he could sell them for even more.”
