Ex-Wife's Revenge (Alaricka) novel Chapter 114

Chapter 114

Jaylene said softly, “My grandma was sick, really sick, and it took a lot of money to get her better.”

Alarieka’s heart skipped a beat.

In the previous life, after a few years, she never heard about Lorelai again.

I guess I probably died around this time before.

Tears suddenly welled up in Jaylene’s eyes, but she stubbornly sniffed so they wouldn’t fall.

“A few days ago I actually didn’t go to school either, I was at the hospital with my grandma the whole time, most of my family’s savings already went to the hospital, I didn’t really have any money left, there were only a few dozen dollars in my account, maybe in a few days I wouldn’t even be able to afford food.”

Alarieka was about to say something, but Jaylene cut her off seamlessly.

“I thought at least the hospital was a good place, fair and just, but even though I paid the hospital fee, my grandma was still kicked out of the ward by the doctors and nurses there.”

Jaylene sniffled, and tears fell from the corners of her eyes: “My grandma was living in the hospital hallway now. The person who took my grandma’s room was really rich and had people helping them. I couldn’t fight them.“,

Alarieka frowned hard: “What? Let’s go to the hospital and check it out

right now.”

Jaylene picked a top hospital in the city for Lorelai. It was really

famous, and a lot of patients and their families came from out of town. The hospital was packed, and the hallways were crowded with people. It was really hard to walk.

After walking for quite a while, Jaylene finally brought Alarieka to Lorelai’s hospital bed.

Jaylene walked up to a hospital bed in the hallway. The old man was lying in the middle of the bed at that moment, and Jaylene carefully helped him up from the bed.

“Come on, Grandma, be careful.”

Alarieka walked over and nodded to her grandma, “Mrs. Cowan, hello, I’m Jaylene’s classmate.”

Lorelai’s cheeks were sunken, she looked really old, so old that even her eyes were sunken in. There was a heavy sickly look on her face, but she still smiled at her kindly.

“Hi classmate, sometimes Jaylene acted a bit noisy, hope you could be more tolerant.”

Alarieka shook her head, “No, she was a good classmate.”

In the conversation between Lorelai and Jaylene, she found out that Lorelai had uterine cancer and it was already late–stage.

She quietly took a few steps back, checking out this hallway.

According to Jaylene, Lorelai was originally living in the hospital room, but later people kicked her out into the hallway.
