Chapter97
“It was the police. Yesterday, there was a thunderstorm, power
outages everywhere, severe road flooding. Many police officers
in the city were mobilized for rescue operations. You were
lucky to encounter the police.”
Bethany expressed her gratitude to the doctor.
After the doctor left, her hand hung down weakly.
At a critical moment, I actually forgot to make the emergency
call.
But she sent the distress signal to someone who couldn’t
possibly respond to her.
Julio bought breakfast for Bethany and she ate some of it
casually, getting ready to be discharged.
Julio was not reassured, so he went to the hospital again to
confirm that he could be discharged.
He came back after completing the discharge procedures for
Bethany, who had already packed her things.
“Was it to the hotel?”
Chapter97
Bethany nodded.
“Let’s go, I’ll accompany you.”
Julio came over here and arranged the car.
Bethany sat in the passenger seat, boredly scrolling through her
phone.
She saw a blog post with a very high number of likes and shares.
The content of Twitter is: Our store’s limited edition pins, one
per province, were all bought by a handsome and wealthy
gentleman! A total of twenty–three pins! 55555… I wonder which
beautiful fairy will receive this gift, so envious, this love is truly
impressive and domineering!
Twitter also featured a picture, a diamond–studded double swan
heart–shaped brooch, with the red beaks of the two swans.
hanging a teardrop–shaped top–grade pearl, very exquisite.
Bethany flipped to the second picture, her gaze completely
frozen.
Although it was just a silhouette, she could instantly recognize
who the man in the photo was.
His love was domineering and something he could proudly

show off.
But, his love, was all given to others.
Bethany locked her phone screen and turned her head to look at
Julio.
Julio felt her looking at him and turned to meet Bethany’s gaze.
Bethany seemed to have something to say, so he pulled over the
car.
Bethany gestured to him in sign language, “Do you have a familiar lawyer?”
“Lawyer?” Julio lowered his gaze, “Why are you looking for a
lawyer?”
Bethany gestured with two words: “Divorce.”
She didn’t want to tell anyone about the taste.
It just added to the sadness.
Julio didn’t ask any more.
Bethany’s mother passed away early, and her father, after her
mother’s death, sold the marital home and disappeared without
a trace.
She was raised by her grandmother, without the love of her
parents. She had a calm personality since she was young.
The things she decided, I’m afraid, were all the results of careful
consideration.
“Okay, I will find a suitable lawyer and let you know as soon as
possible.”
Bethany gestured her gratitude to him, and then she gestured
again, “By the way, what do you do for a living? Are you
inheriting your father’s business or do you have your own
Chapter97
career? I haven’t asked you yet.”
“My father ran a hospital, as for me… I became a doctor, do you
believe it?”
Bethany trembled her eyelids, and she really couldn’t believe it.
It was probably because she and Julio grew up together, this
recent contact didn’t last long, and her memories of Julio mostly
stayed in their youth.
It is hard to imagine that he, who often got into fights with
people when he was a little boy, has become a doctor.
