Chapter 8
She didn’t mention that she wanted to go see Cassie.
She was like this, she was too ashamed to let others know that
she was Cassie’s student, let alone let Cassie know about her
situation, feeling sorry for her.
After the message was sent, ten minutes passed before Terrence.
replied.
“What’s good to see at Comic–Con, you wouldn’t understand.
Taking care of the house is what you should be doing.”
This is Terrence.
What he prohibited, she had no room to refuse.
She told him that she studied animation in college.
He, however, said that she didn’t understand. It seems that he
didn’t take her words to heart at all.
Maybe, never really listened.
Bethany put away her phone and didn’t want to reply anymore.
She got up and walked into the study, turned on the computer,
and wanted to check the recent trends in animation
development.
Chapter58
Evangeline arrived in Aranoland and immediately called
Terrence after getting off the plane.
“Terrence, which hotel did you stay at? I came to find you.”
Terrence frowned.
“Did you go to Lensar?”
“Well, who made you so troublesome? I saw you first, then
went to see my grandfather!”
Evangeline wanted to have a good talk with Terrence about his
relationship with Bethany.
“Why didn’t you say anything when you called me yesterday?”
Evangeline pushed the suitcase and was walking towards the
outside of the airport.
What’s there to say? Can fly anytime, anywhere.
Terrence’s voice came through the phone, “When you contacted
me yesterday, I had already returned to my country.”
“Ah?”
Evangeline stopped in her tracks, her voice sounding somewhat
impatient, “Why didn’t you say it earlier?”
Chapter 8
Evangeline was extremely depressed.
She came specifically for Terrence.
“Okay, since you’re here, go and see Grandpa. Emery is still over
there, so bring him back when you come back.”
Evangeline instantly became unhappy, “Why didn’t you bring
Emery back with you when you returned? Why did you leave
Bethany picked up the pen and paper on the desk and wrote
down a few words.
“You arranged it.”
Eliza was a little confused.
All three meals at home were made by Mrs. McConnell, and the
chefs were all dismissed.
When Mrs. McConnell encountered guests at home, she would
get ready and then leave.
Chapter68
Mr. McConnell’s guests were all very distinguished, and her
cooking skills could only make some delicious home–cooked dishes. It was simply not enough to entertain such esteemed
guests.
“Mrs. McConnell, I’m afraid it’s not possible?”
Bethany knew Eliza’s concerns, so she wrote on a piece of paper,
“Don’t worry, you can order food from the hotel and have it
delivered. I will cover the cost.“”
Terrence gave her a card and deposited money into it on the
first of every month.
Used for household expenses, as well as the wages of domestic
servants.
This card represented all the necessary expenses of Vespera
Villa every month.
